John Barrowman makes astonishing gay ‘cover-up’ claim against the BBC – and says corporation was full of homosexual men ‘married to women’: RICHARD EDEN’S DIARY

Actor John Barrowman, known for his roles in Torchwood and Doctor Who, asserts that there existed a culture of concealment regarding his conduct during filming at the BBC.

In the ’90s, a Scottish-American actor, aged 58 at present, was among the initial hosts of the BBC kids’ show Live & Kicking. He openly admitted that during this time, there was pressure for him to conceal his homosexuality.

In that era, at the BBC, there existed a peculiar culture. Many men, though married to women, appeared to be gay and held significant positions, while powerful, independent women ran certain sectors. This culture fostered secrecy, with an unspoken rule not to discuss it. He shares this experience on the Gay Old Time podcast, explaining how he fit into this environment.

‘Due to being a children’s program, losing your job was a possibility. However, strangely enough, everyone seemed to lean towards the LGBTQ+ community.’

This version maintains the original meaning while using more natural and easy-to-read language.

According to reports, Barrowman is accused of exposing himself on the set of Doctor Who. However, he claims that the accusations are misunderstood and what occurred was merely a playful prank.

If I had to film a nude scene, I might have reacted casually if someone unexpectedly entered the set. To me, it wasn’t shocking or inappropriate. It was a different era.

He will not be welcomed (or considered desirable) at a Torchwood fan convention taking place next year, despite his past role as Captain Jack Harkness in the Doctor Who spin-off series.

The actor verifies that he hasn’t received any request or invitation, stating, ‘I haven’t been included if there’s a Torchwood gathering; you must be the most inept organizers I’ve encountered.’

The classic comedy stage show Fawlty Towers by actor John Cleese is running again in the West End. Meanwhile, at 85 years old, he has announced that he will also be featured in a documentary film set to release in cinemas this November. In his own words, “For the first time, viewers will get a glimpse of a different aspect of me – beyond the suave, carefree, and handsome playboy image, they’ll see the disheveled, confused, sometimes grumpy old man that my public relations team tirelessly work to keep hidden.” This revealing documentary is called John Cleese Packs It In.

Over time, Queen Elizabeth’s speech pattern evolved, moving away from a strongly upper-class dialect. However, it didn’t transform enough for Lisa Maxwell, a resident of Elephant and Castle, south London, to easily comprehend her. At 61 years old, Lisa remembers meeting the Queen but found her so posh that she couldn’t understand what she was saying. ‘She greeted me,’ Lisa recalls, ‘but in a way that sounded like, “Hyeldareyor?” The Queen had to ask three times before I finally understood that she was asking my age.’ A person standing next to her in the line-up eventually elbowed her and explained that the Queen was inquiring about her age.

I’m from Austria, not Australia

Nadja Swarovski, an heiress with dual Austrian and American citizenship, has expressed frustration towards some Americans who seem confused about her native country.

I’ve given up correcting folks about my origins,” I shared with the Travel Secrets podcast as a 55-year-old businesswoman. Born in Germany and raised in Wattens, Austria, amidst the family glassworks, I’m now accustomed to the amusing misconceptions that arise when people learn where I hail from: “Austria? You must see kangaroos there all the time!

Grylls’ tasty wage

Marmaduke, the second son among the trio, is working hard at Wimbledon – making a living by dishing out hot dogs to eager spectators.

This resourcefulness brings joy to Bear Grylls (age 51), who admires that his son (age 19) handles as many as 5,000 hot dogs per day with a cheerful demeanor.

However, it seems Bear Grylls might sport a wider grin. I’m happy to share that this daring explorer has garnered quite impressive earnings for himself.

Last year, as per the recently submitted financial reports at Companies House for The Natural Studios Productions, he managed to bring in approximately $809,320 (give or take some exchange rate fluctuations). This figure enabled the company to report an impressive profit of around $1,964,560.

In a candid statement, author Kathy Lette has criticized her former husband, barrister Geoffrey Robertson, for being overly dedicated to his work and neglecting household tasks. “Our marriage fell apart because I felt lonely,” she explains at age 66. “He couldn’t claim the moral high ground. I’d ask, ‘Can you change this diaper?’ He’d respond, ‘I’d like to, but I have 350 people on Death Row [to represent]’. After a year, I’d say, ‘Let them die.’ After our second child, I said, ‘I’ll go and execute them myself.'” Regarding her current partner, musician Brian O’Doherty, she shares: “He cherishes me, doesn’t bore me, and takes care of all my chores.

Game, set, murder! Judy serves up crime novel

Instead of enduring both the pain and joy of witnessing her son Andy compete at Wimbledon this year, Judy Murray is choosing to engage in more tranquil activities, giving herself a break from the intense tension.

Like crime – or ‘cosy crime’ as she puts it. ‘Basically, a tennis coach gets murdered,’ says Judy.

However, fans need not worry: the revelations aren’t suggesting that Judy has suddenly transformed into a psychopath; rather, they are a quick overview of her recently titled novel, Game, Set & Murder, set for release tomorrow. This book seems to have an unexpected twist.

The ex-tennis coach, aged 65, remarks that it’s a mystery about who did it, and anyone from the women’s first team could be the culprit. She mentions British author Santa Montefiore as one of her sources of inspiration.

In the year 2023, Judy decided to leave her position as a teacher of sports behind to embark on a new journey as an author. During that very same year, she published her debut novel titled “The Wild Card.

Can’t remember the sainted Santa displaying quite such bloodlust…

Olivia’s ‘sacrifice’ for TV sex scenes

Actress Olivia Cooke, known for her role in “House of the Dragon,” advocates that directors should receive training in intimacy coordination. She discloses that on some movie sets, she has felt compelled to put her own comfort and boundaries aside during certain scenes.

The actress, depicted on the right in the Game of Thrones spin-off, expresses that at times, a sex scene can seem to take something from you that it ought not. She believes these scenes should align with the story and one shouldn’t be required to relinquish a part of themselves… At certain instances, I have felt as if pieces of me have been removed.

Olivia, aged 31, notes: “It’s important for directors to complete a course in intimacy coordination so they can communicate effectively with us about such matters.
