Johanna Griggs doesn’t look like this anymore! Better Homes and Gardens host reveals her very sexy makeover on the set of the show in Sydney

As a lifestyle expert, I must commend Johanna Griggs for her remarkable journey from competitive swimming to hosting some of Australia’s most beloved shows. Her resilience in overcoming chronic fatigue syndrome at such a young age is truly inspiring. It’s fascinating to see how she has transformed herself, both personally and professionally, and continues to break barriers in the industry.

As I eagerly stepped onto the Better Homes and Gardens set on a Wednesday, I couldn’t help but notice the captivating transformation of our beloved host, Johanna Griggs. Her alluring new style had me absolutely smitten!

The television host, aged 51, highlighted her toned figure and revealed a hint of neckline depth, donning a snug, pastel-blue vest and jacket.

Johanna showed more cleavage by swapping out her usual high-necked, buttoned blouses for a tight, plunging neckline top.

In Sydney, she finished off her fresh style by donning blue denims and a set of black footwear while working alongside Colin Fassnidge, Charlie Albone, and Adam Dovile on the filming sets.

Johanna was spotted showing up at the location alongside the well-known chef Colin, who opted for a more relaxed look in navy trousers and a khaki coat.

Adam wore jeans, white sneakers and a navy buttoned shirt as he walked alongside the pair.

Additionally, they were accompanied by the celebrated gardener Charlie, who opted for a style akin to denim and a blue button-up shirt.

After Johanna disclosed that she experienced a severe health issue due to chronic fatigue syndrome at the age of 17.

In 1990, when she earned her first Commonwealth Games medal, a popular television figure revealed that the condition nearly halted her progress in swimming.

The following year, she got a devastating diagnosis that required her to pause her competitive career temporarily, according to Prevention magazine.

For approximately two and a half years, Johanna adhered to a strict, flavorless diet devoid of wheat, yeast, eggs, malt, sugar, dairy products, herbs, spices, and caffeine during her recovery process.

She noted that it’s during challenging times when you tend to discover more about yourself compared to periods of greatness.

What I learned is the value of being alone and feeling content with who I am,” she noted.

1993 marked a comeback for Johanna in her swimming career when she clinched the victory in the 50-meter backstroke competition at the Australian Swimming Championships.

In the course of events, I found myself being recruited by the dynamic team at Seven Network, marking a pivotal shift from my sports-centric lifestyle. From that moment on, I bid adieu to my career in sports, embracing new horizons and exciting opportunities ahead.

Additionally, Johanna has lately spoken up against alleged misogynistic treatment she faced during the initial phase of her career at Channel Seven.

In May, she shared her past encounter with a former male supervisor, which she discussed on the Empowering Leaders Podcast.

The former executive suggested that she perform an embarrassing stunt involving wearing a bikini and playfully hitting a female colleague on the backside for promotional purposes.

In a previous instance at our station, Seven, there was a promotion. The idea was to have all of the network personalities participating in a beach run while wearing bikinis, with them playfully slapping each other on the backside. This is what she shared.

‘Baywatch style?’ host Luke Darcy said, to which Johanna responded: ‘Yep.’

Previously accomplished swimmer expressed her decision to decline the promotion opportunity, which left her supervisor bewildered, as they were surprised by her objections to the concept.

Johanna claimed that he mentioned her past work as a model for Inside Sport, and added that she had donned numerous swimsuits throughout her career.

‘[I told them], “I did when I was an athlete, 100%,”‘ the mother-of-two added.

She went on by saying, “Let me rephrase that for you: I’ll complete the task once you see Bruce McAvaney jogging on the beach in flip-flops and playfully swatting a few individuals on their backs.

‘And that was the end of the conversation.’

Johanna’s career with the network dates back to 1993, when she started working as a host for the Australian Open at Seven Sport, a position she has held for a considerable period of time.

After receiving a diagnosis for chronic fatigue syndrome, which made it difficult for her to maintain her swimming career, the producers quickly recruited her from the pool.

As a seasoned broadcaster with a background in athletics, I’ve had the privilege of taking on additional roles for our network – hosting coverage for both the Olympics and the Commonwealth Games. It’s an honor to be part of such prestigious events!

Besides her role in House Rules, which she presented from 2013 to 2019, Johanna has also been the host of Better Homes and Gardens since 2005.
