Joey King’s Shocking Cooking Accident Leaves Her with Facial Burns!

Joey King revealed she suffered facial burns after cooking shallots.

On Tuesday morning, the actress posted on her Instagram Stories that she accidentally poured shallots into a hot oil pan, causing the oil to splash and burn her.

In addition, Joey shared that right after injuring herself while cooking, she phoned her mother who responded with, “that’s exactly why I dislike cooking,” – a sentiment Joey then posted on her Instagram account.

As an ardent admirer, I couldn’t help but share my awe when the 25-year-old actress bravely unveiled four intimate snapshots of her healing journey after a skin mishap. The first image, strikingly raw, showcased the immediate aftermath. The second, hinting at remedies, seemed to depict honey, known for its therapeutic properties in wound care and inflammation reduction. A few days later, she graced us with an update, her burns visibly healing. Lastly, a photograph of her applying some creamy balm on her skin served as a testament to her resilience.

Two months ago, Joey boasted about her success in making a pecan pie for Thanksgiving, as depicted on her Instagram posts. However, it seems her culinary prowess may have slipped recently, as she encountered a cooking mishap.

This past week, Joey dyed her eyebrows blonde as a new experiment, which she shared on TikTok, explaining that she was seeking something fresh and distinctive.

Joey talked about her bleached brows in her Tik Tok video she shared earlier this month.

The actress mentioned that she dyed her eyebrows around a week back. Before, they appeared white, but now they resemble the mustache of the Lorax character.

Joey reminisced, saying, “Initially, I felt a certain fondness for it. However, two days ago when I met my mother, she expressed her discomfort, telling me, ‘I just can’t bear to look at you; you seem so strange.’

Friends, I understand if I seem unusual to you right now. It’s intentional. I’ve been experimenting and wanted to try something new. Don’t worry, I’ll go back to my regular hair color soon, but for now, let me enjoy this change.

Joey is good friends with superstar Sabrina Carpenter, with the duo having been pals for years.

The stars met at a charity event initially, but they didn’t immediately become friends.

I recall a moment when Sabrina visited me, and she greeted me saying, “Hi, I’m Sabrina!” It was amusing because our friendship wasn’t particularly tight for quite some time. For the initial years of our bond, we’d only catch up once annually, which seemed oddly humorous to us both, wondering why it took so long for us to develop a strong connection as we have today. I shared this anecdote with Wired in July 2020.

From then on, which Joey noted took place ‘many years ago’ the duo have been inseparable.

In 2018, Sabrina cast Joey as her lead in the music video for Sue Me.

Five years later, Sabrina sang at Joey’s wedding to Steven Piet.

In a September 2023 post, Sabrina uploaded a collection of wedding photos with the caption: “My wife tied the knot, and I couldn’t help but shed tears of joy. Feeling incredibly fortunate to have been there for your memorable day, @joeyking @stevenpiet. My love for you both runs deep! Wishing you both a lifetime of happiness on your incredible journey together!!!

In October 2024, Joey was present at the Chicago leg of Sabrina’s Short n’ Sweet world tour, posting photos from his visit.

She also posed for snaps with Sabrina, while rocking her tour merch.
