Joe Rogan Slams Hollywood Elite: Picks Side in Blake Lively and Justin Baldoni Legal Showdown
Joe Rogan voiced firm opinions, aligning himself with director Justin Baldoni against Blake Lively and Ryan Reynolds, who are embroiled in a prolonged legal dispute.
In one of his episodes broadcasted over the weekend on the Joe Rogan Experience, the podcaster discussed the ongoing legal drama with comedian Brendan Schaub. During this discussion, they both expressed their views that a famous couple was damaging their public image.
‘They f***ed up,’ Rogan said, noting: ‘Ryan’s trying to get out of it now.
‘He’s trying to get out of the lawsuit and they’re like “You are a key part of this.”
He went on, stating that Lively and Reynolds seem to be attempting to dominate not just the film, but also the entire franchise, according to him. The situation, he said, is quite extraordinary.
Additionally, Rogan mentioned that the director of the film “It Ends With Us” is also filing a lawsuit against the New York Times, and he believes the case has strong merit as well.
As a die-hard fan, I found myself nodding in agreement when Schaub suggested that my idol, Baldoni, should return to court and play it tough if he aims to revive his career. In other words, it’s time for him to step up the game and make some bold moves!
In a surprising turn of events, Rogan commended the director as he presented evidence, such as text messages, following a lawsuit. This man, typically known for his sweet and amiable demeanor, abruptly put an end to the niceties by saying, “That’s enough,” according to Rogan.

In the texts Baldoni shared, there was one where Lively suggested he enter her trailer as she was “expressing milk” (or pumping), although she later claimed that Baldoni unexpectedly entered her space while she was breastfeeding without her agreement.
‘You literally have a text exchange back and forth,’ Rogan said.
He remarked that it was unexpected for them, the famous duo in Hollywood, as they seemingly didn’t believe anyone would dare to present evidence against them, according to his statement, which also implied that many people in the industry would supposedly feel intimidated to confront them.
The courtroom conflict traces its roots back to December, following Lively’s filing of a sexual harassment claim against Baldoni, accusing him of inappropriate behavior on the set of “It Ends With Us.
Later on, Baldoni initiated a defamation lawsuit worth $400 million against Lively, her representative, and her spouse, Ryan Reynolds.
Additionally, he initiated a libel lawsuit worth $250 million against The New York Times, asserting that their report solely presented the actress’ account of the incidents.
As a devoted supporter, I can share that both Lively and Baldoni have refuted each other’s allegations. Moreover, The New York Times has disputed Baldoni’s accusations and petitioned for the dismissal of his lawsuit against the publication.

Baldoni’s legal team is counterattacking by requesting a judge to allow them access to the initial stages of the discovery process, enabling them to present their allegations.
The Times was alleged to have gone beyond just reporting in Lively’s criticism, and they claimed that the Times vouched for the truth of a misleading story, relying heavily on manipulated private text messages, as stated in court records acquired by CBR.
Currently, Reynolds is seeking to have himself removed from Baldoni’s $400 million defamation case by submitting a request for dismissal.
48-year-old The Proposal actor mentioned in legal papers that a fictional character named Nicepool, who debuted in the movie Deadpool & Wolverine last July and is supposedly a satirical take on wokeness, was modeled after him, including the man bun hairstyle. This is Baldoni’s claim.
Reynolds stated that Baldoni’s strong reaction towards a fictional character from the satirical movie “Nicepool” isn’t grounded in any genuine legal issues. Instead, it appears to stem purely from personal sensitivity.
Rather than fitting into the broad accusation of causing hurt feelings, it appears to be just a desperate attempt to perpetuate the same carefully crafted “bully” image that Baldoni had previously constructed and spread during the retaliatory campaign against Ms. Lively in August 2024.
Following on from an exclusive report by DailyMail.com, it was only a few days later that Reynold’s motion emerged. This revelation indicated that Baldoni’s legal team might investigate Disney for any possible role in the defamatory campaign allegedly orchestrated against him, spearheaded by Reynolds and his spouse.

As an ardent admirer, I can’t help but share an intriguing piece of inside information: Baldoni’s legal team is about to delve deeply into the world of Deadpool, exploring aspects like the movie’s funding and the cast and crew who were privy to this bullying incident during filming. It’s a fascinating turn of events!
They suggested that since Reynolds did not contest the idea that Nicepool was modeled after Baldoni, this could broaden the strategies that Baldoni’s legal team might employ to demonstrate that their client was subjected to a concerted attack.
The source revealed that Ryan acknowledged the inspiration for the Nicepool character in Deadpool came from Justin. This not only brought Hugh Jackman, the directors, and producers to center stage, but also involved Disney in the process.
In summary, the court records indicate that Ryan claimed Disney knowingly used funds for a movie production aimed at outshining someone else through bullying.
The act of establishing Nicepool raised additional inquiries: ‘Why did Ryan, who held the belief that his wife was being sexually mistreated or harassed at the time, decide to establish a part for her alleged assailant?’
Originally considered as a hypothesis, it has been validated. This discovery broadens possibilities. A significant power struggle seems to be unfolding here.
They continued: ‘Blake and Ryan thought they were untouchable and could get away with anything.’
In his latest court filing, Reynolds referred to himself as a “compassionate partner who has directly observed the emotional turmoil, damage to reputation, and severe financial losses” that Lively experienced.
As a lifestyle guide, I’d rephrase that statement like this: I asserted that Baldoni was trying to embarrass me, as someone who believes in the importance of listening to and supporting the women in my life.

However, Bryan Freedman, Baldoni’s legal representative, stated to TMZ: ‘Mr. Reynolds is still abusing his immense influence in Hollywood, now audaciously requesting dismissal from the case, even though his active involvement, as publicly shown, transcends mere spousal support.’
Freedman strongly stood by his accusations, claiming that Reynolds was instrumental in a defamatory campaign which Freedman referred to as a smear campaign.
Mr. Reynolds played a crucial role in the plan, spreading negative rumors about Justin in Hollywood, pressuring WME to drop Justin as a client, and attempting to sabotage Justin’s career in every way he could.
Freedman dismissed Reynolds’ effort to withdraw from the case, along with his assertions regarding Baldoni’s sensitivity towards the Nicepool character.
He stated that Mr. Reynolds’ influence can be traced back to the initial stages of the smear campaign against Justin and the Wayfarer team, which he orchestrated. Now, in an attempt to downplay legitimate allegations, Mr. Reynolds is trying to label them as mere hurt feelings, thereby sending a troubling signal that intimidation is tolerable.

Beyond that point, he continued by stating: ‘Having struck a match, Mr. Reynolds is attempting to flee the fire. However, this attempt will fail. The allegations against him by the Wayfarer Parties are genuine and substantial.’
No matter how often Mr. Reynolds appears on comedy shows trying to joke about his predicament, we won’t rest until he faces the consequences for his actions.
The ‘sketch depicts’ seems to allude to Reynolds’ SNL 50th anniversary performance, where it appears he satirically addressed the ongoing legal controversy involving Baldoni.
Reynolds aims to have the case dismissed permanently, meaning Baldoni won’t be able to resubmit this lawsuit again in the future.
Amid the legal drama, Baldoni debuted a new look – with a faux hawk and shaved sides.
As a devoted follower, I recently noticed that the star of Jane the Virgin, who confessed to feeling drained from a year filled with emotional strain just last month, unveiled his bold new haircut for the first time while spending quality time with his children, Maiya and Maxwell, in Hawaii, not so long ago.
He has said that he needed to ‘heal from’ last year and acknowledged he’s ‘a work in progress.’
The director emphasized on an episode of the Gent’s Talk podcast, which was recently aired last month, that he consistently strives to be genuinely sincere and authentic to himself, so that he can provide service effectively and make a significant impact.
