Joe Lycett issues update on fatherhood after 'crying wolf' as baby continues to spark 'prank' theories

As a long-time follower of Joe Lycett’s antics, I must admit that I was initially skeptical when he announced the arrival of his son. After all, with a track record like his, it’s only natural to question if this is another one of his elaborate pranks. However, having witnessed his heartfelt gratitude for the well-wishes and seeing the adorable picture of him and his little bundle of joy, I find myself convinced that this time, Joe has truly become a father.

Joe Lycett recently provided an update about fatherhood, confessing that he had falsely claimed needing help or support on multiple occasions, which is often referred to as “crying wolf.

36-year-old comedian astonished fans as he revealed the birth of his first child with an unidentified partner, sparking speculation that this might just be another one of his creative jokes.

In his latest newsletter on Friday, Joe expressed gratitude for the messages he received and shared that becoming a father brings him immense joy.

He wrote: ‘I just want to say a big thank you to everyone who has been so lovely about my news (you may have seen on instagram or in the press that I have just welcomed a son)…. I’m finding fatherhood to be a total delight.’

The television figure is widely recognized for his daring, headline-grabbing antics, such as the time he legally altered his name to “Hugo Boss” in 2020. Some of his followers remain skeptical that his recent positive updates might be part of a grand hoax.

In response to the allegations, Joe stated, ‘To make it clear, he’s absolutely not faking (even though I’ve overused the phrase ‘crying wolf’), and as previously mentioned, I will soon be a guest on the _Parenting Hell_ podcast.’

About two weeks back, Joe made an intriguing revelation by bringing up Autotrader in his post where he declared his new role as a parent.

He captioned: ‘We will not be taking any press requests about this as we have already sold the rights to the first family picture to Autotrader.’

He didn’t provide more details about the brand or confirm whether he entered into an agreement with the automobile manufacturer, leaving the information unclear.

Following your announcement, Autotrader wrote: ‘Once more, congratulations, Joe! We eagerly look forward to sharing the images of the Mini Cooper Lycett.’

This week, Autotrader is initiating a novel digital family photo-sharing initiative across its site, inspired by Joe’s recent post. Parents can now upload and share glimpses of their family lifestyle on the platform.

The concept seems to revolve around enabling customers to showcase family photos with their dear ones. From his recent post, it looks like Joe might be part of this initiative or project.
