Joe Jonas Steps in as Morgan Wallen Walks Off SNL Stage in Controversial Exit!

It’s been reported that, due to Morgan Wallen declining an offer to participate in a Saturday Night Live sketch during his performance, another well-known artist stepped in to fill the role instead.

As a diehard fan bursting with excitement, I can’t help but share the thrilling news that none other than Joe Jonas, at 35 years young, unexpectedly graced our screens in the hilarious musical sketch Big Dumb Line during this weekend’s episode! It turns out that Niall Horan, just 31, had initially been invited to join the act but politely declined the offer, as reported by Page Six. But fear not, fellow fans, because Joe Jonas more than made up for it with his electrifying performance!

‘[Morgan] was asked but declined, so they got Joe instead,’ the source said.

Variety has also reported that the part was written for the Whiskey Glasses singer.

Over the weekend, Wallen, our musical guest, stirred up a commotion by leaving the stage instead of adhering to the customary practice after the show ends, which typically involves the guests and cast sharing hugs and interacting socially before the credits begin to roll.

It seems that Wallen wasn’t particularly friendly on set, according to a source from Page Six. They had hoped he would do a pre-recorded segment and possibly more, but those plans didn’t work out.

According to the source, Wallen fulfilled his performance duties, but beyond that, there was no further engagement from him.

During a previous rehearsal, Wallen also walked off as he had finished.

DailyMail.com has contacted Wallen’s representatives for comment.

Wallen walked off at the end of the show after Mikey closed off the show.

He was seen saying something to the Anora star before she joined the cast in celebration.

As she turned around to mingle with them, Wallen walked right off the stage.

It appears that, based on his Instagram Story post showing a private jet on an airport runway, he was likely making a hasty exit from New York City.

‘Get me to God’s country,’ the post read.

As a loyal follower, I can now share that Morgan, from what I’ve been informed by someone within his team, enjoyed his stint on the show and didn’t intend to offend anyone with his sudden departure and social media post.

Following several scandals, the country music artist with a history of controversy returned to Saturday Night Live for a second time after making his debut in 2020.

Approximately four years ago, his professional progression took a brief pause due to an incident where he was filmed using a racial slur (the N-word) while intoxicated outside his house in February 2021.

Controversy surrounding the use of a derogatory term caused widespread criticism against Wallen. However, supporters of the artist reacted by boosting his music streams significantly, resulting in a staggering 500% rise in streaming figures.

In response to Michael Strahan from Good Morning America asking if the rise in streaming might hint at underlying racial bias in the country music industry, Wallen stated that he hadn’t given much consideration to this topic, according to The Daily Beast.

Following the controversial event involving the N-word, it appears the musician initially wanted to discuss matters with the Nashville branch of the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People (NAACP), but according to TMZ, he subsequently ceased responding to their calls and continued his tour.

At first, multiple large companies that control a network of radio stations prohibited his work. However, within four months, station owners started playing his music again without making a fuss.

Saturday marked Wallen’s return to the show following his infamous N-word scandal.

Previously, Wallen had not been invited to perform in 2020 due to his attendance at a party at the University of Alabama a few days prior to the show during the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic.

Approximately two months after that, he stepped onto the stage for the first time on the program, and also featured in a skit together with Jason Bateman, where they playfully satirized the ongoing controversy.

Wallen’s fourth studio album, I’m The Problem, is set for release on May 16.
