On Late Night With Seth Meyers, the 33-year-old actor captivated fans with his charisma, gracefully answering questions and discussing his latest film, The Brutalist.

Just over a fortnight since publicly declaring his post-breakup advancement, following his six-and-a-half-year relationship with Swift that ended in 2023, the actor who stars in Harriet, charmed audiences with his quick wit, humor, and genuine demeanor during an infrequent public outing.

Thrilled to witness Joe’s first night-time talk show! His subtle humor, evident in his responses, is delightful. The Brutalist should definitely be watched on a large screen!

When discussing watching a movie in America, he humorously compared the American way of going to the cinema with the English approach, which he described as being shy or self-conscious about purchasing a ticket and attending.

‘I watched Conclave not too long ago, in Los Angeles. However, it takes place within the Vatican. Approximately ten individuals dressed as bishops were present, and there was indeed a pope character. He pondered aloud, “They had made the journey to Sherman Oaks,” which caused the audience to chuckle.’

Approximately two weeks have passed since he made an unusual comment about his past relationship with Swift, during a recent conversation with The Guardian.

When questioned about whether dating a fourteen-time Grammy Award winner might overshadow his own career, the actor replied, “I’ve simply aimed to concentrate on managing what I can manage.

From the get-go, I’ve always prioritized aspects significant to me – friends, loved ones, career – needless to say. (He said this.)

He stated, “Given the commotion outside, I believe I’ve followed a common pattern among those in the public spotlight – attempting to disregard unnecessary distractions. If you don’t do this, and if you let all those other things influence you, your actions might become controlled by external factors rather than your inner self. In such a case, you risk losing control.

In the year 2016, he crossed paths with the artist known for “Cruel Summer.” This was also the year that his debut film, “Billy Lynn’s Long Halftime Walk,” hit the silver screen.

They made efforts to maintain their relationship private and secluded, yet some Taylor Swift fans speculate that the songs “Gorgeous” (from the 2017 album Reputation) and “London Boy” (from the 2019 album Lover) are tributes to the British actor.

Fans of Taylor Swift appeared more interested in Joseph Alwyn after it came to light that he contributed to the songwriting of her 2020 album ‘folklore’, penned amidst the COVID-19 lockdown, as well as its sequel ‘Evermore’.
