Jodie Whittaker’s new Netflix drama lands 100% Rotten Tomatoes score
The brand-new Netflix series titled “Toxic Town,” starring Jodie Whittaker, has received an impressive perfect rating of 100% on Rotten Tomatoes based on the opinions of six reviewers.
Drawing inspiration from real events, this four-part drama unfolds around a band of mothers residing in the town of Corby, East Midlands. They embark on a quest for truth and justice when it was discovered that 19 children born among them suffered disabilities due to an environmental catastrophe.
In the late 80s and 90s, the story unfolds with Jodie Whittaker portraying Susan McIntyre, one of the women impacted by a notorious scandal, as the central character.

The miniseries, penned by Jack Thorne, has been well-received by critics, garnering a perfect score of 100% on Rotten Tomatoes during its initial release.
Here’s a look at some of the reviews:
Digital Spy
As a gamer, I’ve been hooked into this drama, and let me tell you, the cast is simply outstanding. Aimee Lou Wood and Claudia Jessie have delivered exceptional performances, but it’s Jodie Whittaker’s character, Susan McIntyre, that truly grips me. She plays a mother whose son was born with a challenging hand difference, and her portrayal of a woman who is both fiercely strong and vulnerably human is what powers the heart of this story.

As a captivated viewer, I can’t help but recommend “Toxic Town” for its gripping portrayal. The chilling reality that these mothers fought and eventually won £14.6 million in compensation after nearly a decade of emotional turmoil – anxiety, anger, and sadness – serves as a powerful reason to tune in.

As a gamer, I’ve got to say, that battle was a game-changer for me. If Toxic Town makes it look like a walk in the park, I’ll be more than happy to let it slide. It’s a victory worth celebrating!
