Jodie Turner-Smith oozes business chic in a blazer minidress as she joins co-star Michael Fassbender at the screening of their new TV show The Agency
As a seasoned movie enthusiast with a keen eye for quality storytelling, I must say that Michael Fassbender’s latest venture into television is quite intriguing. The man has always impressed me with his versatile acting skills, and it seems he’s not shying away from challenging roles even on the small screen.
At the Curzon Soho, London, Jodie Turner-Smith and her co-star Michael Fassbender drew attention as they both attended a screening of their new TV series The Agency on Thursday.
The actress, 38, showed off her business chic look in a black, double-breasted blazer dress.
In my personal style advice, I often opt for a touch of sophistication, just like the time when I paired a statement piece with an elegant accessory duo – sheer black stockings and black pointed Louboutin heels. These add-ons not only accentuated my figure by highlighting my slender legs, but also subtly elongated my silhouette for a chic and confident look.
I couldn’t help but adorn myself with a striking, chunky silver necklace that sparkled like a beacon. To complete my look, I decided to go all out with a dazzling makeup palette, bedecking my visage with glittering silver rhinestones, creating a truly captivating ensemble befitting an obsessed fan.
Simultaneously, at the age of 47, Michael exuded elegance in a timeless black suit, complemented by a navy dress shirt and polished black shoes.
The pair appeared in high spirits as they posed up a storm on the red carpet.
Also at the screening were their co-stars Katherine Waterston, Jeffrey Wright, and Hugh Bonneville.
Katherine turned heads in a dramatic black dress with a huge belt that cinched her in at the waist.
She finished her look with black suede pointed heels and minimal jewellery.
Jeffrey was sharp in his entirely black outfit, whereas Hugh chose a stylish navy leather suit for the elegant event.
The Agency is based on the highly acclaimed French program The Bureau.
The production of the show was handled by George Clooney and his collaborator, Grant Heslov, under their production house, Smokehouse Pictures.
The political thriller unfolds with Fassbender’s character, a secretive CIA operative on Mars, being instructed to leave his hidden identity behind and link up with Gere’s character, Bosko, in London instead.
The danger arises for his professional life, his secret persona, and the objective he’s pursuing, as the affection from a past relationship during his undercover days reemerges and they rekindle their romantic connection.
The official synopsis reads: ‘When the love he left behind reappears, romance reignites.
His professional life, true self, and objectives are constantly at odds with his emotions, creating a dangerous scenario involving global mystery and undercover activities.
In addition, the series features Harriet Sansom Harris known from Werewolf By Night, India Fowler who was in Insomnia, and Richard Gere, an actor from MotherFatherson.
Reflecting on my experience with this project, I must admit that I’ve embarked on a TV series as the main character for the first time. This role has instilled in me a profound respect for the complexities and demands it brings.
‘It’s a jam-packed schedule, you’ve got to move fast, you’ve got to get things done, but I’m really, really enjoying it.’
Speaking as a lifestyle enthusiast, I’m thrilled to share that I’ve recently landed my second recurring TV role following the BBC miniseries, MotherFatherSon. While I previously hinted at this potentially being my swan song on the small screen, here I am, ready to bring more captivating performances to you!
As a child, television wasn’t an activity people were eager to engage in; it was simply not done. The programs weren’t of the best quality, but now, there’s content on TV that rivals or even surpasses most of what we see in movies, according to him.
Today’s TV shows are unlike anything we used to know. They’ve transformed into a completely new entity. Let me confess something, and please don’t hold it against me, but I must say I was astounded by the amount of money being poured into these productions… Substantial budgets dedicated to storytelling.
A day following the TV series preview, Michael was seen heading towards the Virgin Radio studios in London.
He opted for a casual figure of a white quarter button up top and a pair of blue jeans.
The actor kept warm with a black wool jacket and added a pair of beige trainers.
With a cheerful demeanor, Michael strolled into the studios, clutching his cellphone loosely in one hand and a steaming coffee cup in the other.
The Agency is available to stream on Paramount Plus from November 30 for UK viewers.
