Jodie Kidd makes rare public appearance with her lookalike son Indio, 13, as they attend the Space NK London launch party

On Thursday, I had the pleasure of joining Jodie Kidd for a special occasion – the grand opening of Space NK’s newest store on Oxford Street in London. Accompanying me was my son, Indio, who was equally thrilled to be part of this exciting event.

At the occasion, which took place at a location that used to be Topshop, the 46-year-old English fashion model was accompanied by her 13-year-old son, who she co-parents with her former Argentinian polo player partner, Andrea Vianini.

With a sense of pride, the mother wrapped an arm affectionately around her son, as they both prepared to strike a pose for the cameras before attending the glamorous launch event.

During the outing, Jodie exuded an effortless sense of style wearing a well-tailored, aqua blue jacket embellished with golden buttons.

She teamed the stylish blazer with a classic black top and light blue slim-fit denim jeans.

To finish off her style, she accessorized with a pair of miniature black backpack and a set of purple loafers adorned with intricate tassels, carrying her necessities within the bag.

Simultaneously, his son wore a black hoodie adorned with skull and butterfly designs, along with faded blue denim jeans.

He completed his look with a pair of white Nike trainers as he beamed alongside his mum.

On Thursday, beauty retailer Space NK unveiled its expansive new flagship store in London’s West End, located where Philip Green’s former store used to be on Oxford Street.

The 4,600 sq ft superstore at 214 Oxford Circus is the company’s biggest outlet yet.

On a single level, the store is designed to showcase Space NK’s innovative “beauty experience” idea, offering their full selection of high-end beauty and skincare brand products.

Previously, Space NK assured that their flagship store in London would provide an opportunity for customers to delve into the finest aspects of the beauty world.

In an earlier conversation with Cosmetics Business, the company’s CEO, Andy Lightfoot, shared that their active customer base has grown to a staggering two million. Moreover, he mentioned that their growth consistently surpasses the market average by more than 30%.

‘We saw that now was the time to answer our customers’ demand for a true flagship in the West End.

Oxford Street is renowned as one of the top shopping spots globally, and specifically, Oxford Circus’ address number 214 stands out as a famous retail location. This distinguished site has been chosen for our new premier store in the heart of London.

He stated that the objective was to innovate further in-store shopping experiences with our flagship, thus continuing to exceed limits set before. This endeavor also marks another significant chapter in Space NK’s history, while celebrating its three decades as a renowned British beauty retailer.

Space NK Apothecary was established in 1991 by entrepreneur Nicky Kinnaird, whose initials formed the company’s name. The first store opened in Covent Garden in 1993. Today, it is under the ownership of investment firm Manzanita Capital.

Last May, according to Sky News reports, the company was considering selling its assets and enlisted financial advisors to facilitate the transaction, with an estimated value ranging from approximately $374 million to $500 million.
