As an avid fan of Jodie Foster, witnessing her journey through the years has been nothing short of awe-inspiring. From her groundbreaking roles to her trailblazing personal life, she continues to inspire and captivate audiences around the world. The 76th Primetime Emmy Awards was no exception as I watched Jodie beam with pride alongside her wife Alexandra Hedison.

At the 76th Primetime Emmy Awards in Los Angeles on Sunday, Jodie Foster smiled brightly as she walked alongside her stylish partner, Alexandra Hedison.

At the red carpet event held at the Peacock Theater, the 61-year-old actress who won an Oscar was radiantly dressed in a simple, deep blue gown without sleeves as she walked along.

Jodie showed off her adorable grin as she warmly greeted Alexandra, who was 55 years old, when they both arrived at the glamorous award show event.

Alexandra stunned in a long, one-shoulder dress with brown and black slanted vertical stripes.

Jodie and Alexandra both accessorized with earrings, bracelets and rings.

They also let their natural beauty shine with just a hint of makeup.

Jodie received a nomination for the Best Lead Actress Award in the category of Limited or Anthology Series, due to her performance in True Detective’s Night Country episode.

She received her initial acting Emmy nomination, having been recognized before for producing the 1998 Showtime movie, The Baby Dance (on the topic of adoption), and for directing an episode of Orange Is The New Black titled ‘Lesbian Request Denied’ in 2013.

She won the the Emmy in a talented field that included: Brie Larson, Lessons in Chemistry; Juno Temple, Fargo; Sofia Vergara, Griselda and Naomi Watts, Feud: Capote vs. the Swans.

During her acceptance speech, Jodie called Alexandra the ‘love of my life’.

Jodie and Alexandra got married in April 2014 after dating for a year.

During an honorary event at the TCL Chinese Theatre in Hollywood, the actress acknowledged April’s heartfelt accolade to Alexandra, as she immortalized her hands and feet.

In her speech, Jodie highlighted that the event coincided with their 10th wedding anniversary, as captured by NBC LA.

Jodie expressed gratitude by saying, “My wife Alex is the one I owe the most thanks to. I can hardly believe she was so kind to sacrifice our 10-year anniversary day to join me in this instead. It seems funny to ask, ‘Why did you agree to do this with me? Why didn’t we just say no?’

With a tear tracing down her cheek, Jodie spoke with sincerity: “I cherish you deeply and feel immensely thankful for the shared life we enjoy.

This year’s 76th Primetime Emmy Awards, held at the Peacock Theater, celebrated the finest achievements in television, with the event being aired on ABC.

The ceremony was hosted by Eugene Levy and Dan Levy, who made history as the first father-son duo to emcee the program.

2020 saw the actors receiving Emmy Awards for their outstanding performances on the popular series, Schitt’s Creek, a show that they both created and starred in over six seasons.

In a statement to Vanity Fair last month, they expressed their excitement about the prospect of hosting this year’s event in a real theater, as opposed to the quarantine tent where they had previously won Emmys.

The duo expressed their excitement, saying, “It’s fantastic to celebrate this exceptional TV season with everyone, and we can hardly wait to share this evening with all of you!

In the Comedy category, The Bear surpassed the previous record of 22 nominations set by 30 Rock in 2009 by earning a total of 23 nominations in one year, while Shōgun dominates this year’s Drama category with an impressive 25 nominations.
