Initially, “Prima Facie” was performed live during its fully booked run in 2022. This performance earned Comer numerous accolades for her acting skills, such as an Olivier and a Tony Award, when she repeated the role on Broadway.

In a surprising turn of events, Comer’s character, Tessa the accomplished barrister, is compelled to grapple with the boundaries where legal authority, the weight of evidence, and moral compasses intersect, due to an unforeseen incident.

Prior to its cinema rerelease in September, Comer shared her disbelief upon being offered the role.

In a burst of excitement, I found myself captivated by Suzie’s masterpieces. The allure was so strong that I simply couldn’t resist getting involved. There was an undeniable mix of fear and exhilaration that accompanied this decision.
