I’m so excited! Jodie Comer, who I absolutely loved in Killing Eve, is coming back to TV! She’s going to be in a new HBO thriller where she plays a mum who goes to extreme lengths when her daughter is kidnapped. It’s been a few years since Killing Eve ended – that finale was definitely talked about! – and I’ve been waiting for her next big project.
Jodie Comer recently appeared in films like the disaster drama The End We Start From and the horror movie 28 Years Later. Before that, her last television role was in the Channel 4 series Help, which broadcast in 2021.
Okay, so I just heard that Naomi Watts is going to be starring in this new show called The Chain. It’s created by Damon Lindelof, who’s a huge name – he was one of the masterminds behind Lost, and he also did amazing work on The Leftovers and Watchmen. I’m already hyped!

The series, The Chain, follows Rachel, a mother who faces an impossible situation when her daughter is kidnapped. This eight-part limited series is adapted from the novel of the same name by Adrian McKinty.
The story starts with a unique and compelling idea, according to Lindelof. It centers around a woman who must kidnap a child after her own daughter is taken, and Lindelof is also developing the story’s overall background and lore.
What to Read Next
Lindelof was immediately captivated by the unique idea behind Adrian’s book, admitting he was even frustrated he hadn’t come up with it himself. He’d been looking for a compelling thriller to adapt, and this one, according to Variety, had everything he wanted – a dark, strange, and exciting quality that really sparked his creativity.

Francesca Orsi, HBO’s head of drama, expressed their excitement about continuing to work with Damon Lindelof, whom she described as a uniquely talented and innovative storyteller.
According to reports, The Chain will carry on its tradition of deeply exploring the complexities of the human mind, offering experiences that are both emotionally powerful and truly life-changing.
The Chain will be available to stream on HBO and HBO Max soon. Details about when it will air in the UK are still to come.
