Joanne Froggatt’s British and Australian murder mystery acquired by ITV

As a dedicated fan of gripping crime dramas and captivating performances, I can hardly contain my excitement about ITV’s latest acquisition, “North Shore.” Having spent countless hours immersed in the intricate plots of shows like Downton Abbey and Game of Thrones, I can confidently say that this new series promises to be a masterpiece.

ITV has acquired murder mystery series North Shore, starring Downton Abbey‘s Joanne Froggatt.

The six-part drama unfolds at and near Sydney Harbor, focusing on the cultural collision that occurs when a British detective teams up with an Australian one to investigate a perplexing murder case and expose a conspiracy with far-reaching global political repercussions.

The confirmation has been made that the series “North Shore” will start streaming on ITVX from Sunday, December 29th, having first aired on Australian broadcaster Network 10 back in May 2023.

Alongside Froggatt, actors like John Bradley from Game of Thrones, Kirsty Sturgess known for Young Rock, Dan Spielman, Rob Carlton, and Matt Passmore are also part of this project.

Completing our group are actors like Rhys Muldoon from “New Gold Mountain”, Claire Lovering known for “Home and Away”, and Chris Alosio, who has worked on “Surviving Summer”.

The series is created by Cold Feet‘s Mike Bullen, with Gregor Jordan serving as the director.

ITV too boasts a wealth of upcoming series, such as the freshly declared drama titled “The Lady” that draws inspiration from the true events surrounding the ascent and descent of a one-time royal seamstress named Jane Andrews.

In the wake of being dismissed from her position as Sarah Ferguson’s royal attendant in 2001, Andrews was found guilty of murdering her companion, causing a global sensation in news outlets worldwide.

Lee Haven Jones will soon take the helm for the film titled “The Lady“, scripted by Debbie O’Malley, renowned for her work on “Harlots”. The production company, Left Bank Pictures, known for their work on “The Crown”, is set to produce this project.

In addition, ITV is planning to broadcast a fresh television series set in County Durham, featuring Nick Frost from the Cornetto Trilogy and stand-up comedian Jordan Gray as the main stars.

Under the title “Transaction“, the comedy show features Gray in the role of Liv, a self-centered trans individual who creates chaos during her late-night shifts at a supermarket.

In addition, a fresh crime series on ITV is being developed, featuring Rose Ayling-Ellis, who won “Strictly Come Dancing,” and Charlotte Ritchie, known for her role in “Ghosts.

North Shore will be available to stream from Sunday, December 29 on ITVX.
