As an ardent fan, I must say that Vic Reeves, the quirky and charming comedian who stole our hearts for decades, continues to captivate me with his timeless charm and enduring love story. With Nancy Sorrell by his side, they have managed to defy the odds and prove their naysayers wrong, showing us that true love knows no bounds, not even a 15-year age gap!
On Tuesday, Jim Moir, dressed in a distinct patterned suit, stood out alongside his stylish spouse Nancy Sorrell at the 2024 Sky Arts Awards in London.
65-year-old comedian Vic Reeves, more famously recognized as such, paired a swingy suit with an unfastened white shirt while striking numerous poses alongside his wife at the red carpet event.
Wearing thick-soled orange sneakers, Jim appeared cheerful, slinging an arm around his spouse while flashing a grin at the cameras.
Meanwhile, his wife Nancy, 50, put on a leggy display in a printed wrap mini dress.
The model paired the fashionable outfit with a set of black knee-high boots, adorned it with several rings, a pearl band, and a golden necklace for added elegance.
To finish off her appearance, Nancy arranged her golden hair loosely into curls and added a touch of red lipstick.
Jim and his wife Nancy celebrated 20 years of marriage last year.
The comedian honored the event by posting pictures of him and his younger wife, who is 15 years his junior, both sporting customized T-shirts that matched each other.
Vic and Nancy wore t-shirts adorned with photos of themselves donning wigs and glasses, with the phrase “20 years” written below.
In a matching, playful gesture, the pair struck identical poses for the charming photograph posted on his Instagram account, and interestingly enough, they were both sporting nearly identical timepieces.
Another picture uploaded on his profile displayed their visages merged with an anniversary card design, illustrating a pair of hand-painted characters savoring their wedding cake.
He captioned the snaps: ‘Happy anniversary to us. 20 years of love and happiness.’
Nancy replied: ‘Love you Bee.’
The model first met Jim in 2001 when they both appeared on the BBC Two TV show I Love 1991.
Later on, she got an invitation to be a part of the television series Shooting Stars, a production that its creator and host, Bob Mortimer’s comedy partner, had established together. From the get-go, they bonded well, and their subsequent success became legendary.
Vic and Nancy jointly raise their twin daughters, with Nancy additionally serving as a stepmother to Vic’s older children, Alice (age 29) and Louis (age 25), who are from Vic’s earlier marriage with Sarah Vincent.
Last year, the pair posted pictures from their wedding anniversary and looked back on the twenty years they’ve been a couple while celebrating nineteen years of being together.
Nancy shared her wedding photographs on Instagram, accompanied by the caption: ‘Celebrating our 19th wedding anniversary! I love you, Jimbo.’
After Nancy openly discussed the skepticism surrounding her relationship with Vic, which was initially questioned because of their 15-year age difference when they first began dating.
Back when I chatted with a reporter from The Sun, I shared how they predicted our relationship would barely survive more than fortnight. Little did they know, we’d defy the odds and prove them wrong!
‘They would point out the age difference but it was irrelevant to us.’
Initially, things were challenging. We didn’t comprehend why others suggested our relationship wouldn’t last, so we chose to disregard such remarks.
She mentioned: ‘Those who knew us directly found our relationship acceptable, but others generally believed it wouldn’t last or saw it as a mere jest.’
Nancy further stated that by enduring their romance for so long, they had effectively disproved those who doubted them. However, she remains puzzled as to what prompted such skepticism regarding their relationship.
