Jim Carrey’s forgotten comedy is now on Netflix

Jim Carrey’s forgotten comedy Yes Man has been added to Netflix.

2008’s film tells the story of a fellow named Carl Allen, who starts agreeing to every opportunity life presents. At first, this brings about positive changes, but eventually, Carl realizes that an excess of anything may not always be beneficial.

Despite its strong performance at the box office, the movie currently holds a modest 45% critic’s rating on Rotten Tomatoes. However, it enjoys a more favorable audience score of 66%.

Indeed, viewers have the opportunity to form their own opinions, since “Yes Man” is now streaming online in the United Kingdom and Ireland, effective from January 14.

The film is adapted from a memoir with the same title penned by British comedian and television host Danny Wallace, featuring in its cast Zooey Deschanel known for her role in “New Girl”, as well as Bradley Cooper of “Maestro”.

In a recent turn of events, Carrey has reprised his role as Dr Robotnik in “Sonic the Hedgehog 3”, a movie that debuted during the holiday season. It received praise from critics and proved to be a financial triumph.

The film surpassed predictions when it debuted in theaters, earning $62 million in North America alone, and currently standing at over $206 million within the U.S., plus an additional $386 million globally.

Speaking about the expanding audience for this franchise, Paramount’s head of domestic distribution, Chris Aronson, mentioned that they noticed a favorable opportunity in the market during December, which they believed would allow them to make an impact.

“We’ve been able to accomplish that. Sonic is going to dominate through the holidays.”

Following the film’s triumph, it has been announced that a fourth installment is being developed. The news was confirmed by star Ben Schwartz, who shared an initial article about the sequel on his social media account.

The actor posted on social media, “This is not a drill! Sonic 4 is coming in 2027!! AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!

Yes Man is available to stream now on Netflix in the UK and Ireland.
