Jim Carrey Pays Heartfelt Tribute to Late Val Kilmer Following His Death at 65
In simpler terms, after the death of Val Kilmer, who played Batman alongside Jim Carrey in “Batman Forever”, Jim Carrey has shown respect and remembrance for him.
Kilmer, who passed away on Tuesday due to pneumonia, was the star as the title character wearing the cape in the 1995 movie, while Carey took on the role of the Riddler.
According to People’s report, at 63 years old, Carrey stated that history would commemorate Kilmer for his unforgettable acting roles.
He also sent his sympathies to Kilmer’s family.
Today, I’m thinking about Val Kilmer with deep respect, not just for his exceptional acting skills that made a lasting impact, but also for the remarkable man he was,” he expressed.
His most remarkable artistic accomplishments were matched only by the dignity and bravery he displayed during the toughest times in his life. May his family be filled with endless love.

Carrey isn’t the only Batman Forever co-star to have paid tribute to Kilmer.
Debi Mazar recounted her encounter with Kilmer after the wedding of filmmaker Vincent Gallo, which took place in a rundown van that was lacking a door.
She called him a ‘fighter’ as she noted the struggles he faced with his health.
2014 saw the actor receive a diagnosis of throat cancer. He subsequently had an operation that involved a tracheotomy, resulting in permanent damage to his vocal cords. This change was irreversible and significantly affected the way he spoke thereafter.
It’s deeply saddening to learn about the demise of Val Kilmer. I had the pleasure of meeting him back in 1984, in a run-down van with a missing door. We crossed paths after attending Vincent Gallo’s wedding to a lady named Denise (if my memory serves me correctly) in New York City.
On that special day in Jamaica, Queens, we were all whisked away by a van to the wedding reception. Such an enjoyable recollection from back then… Later on, I would collaborate with him on projects like “The Doors” and “Batman Forever.
He was incredibly gifted and captivating. I’m aware that he faced numerous health challenges throughout his life, yet he never gave up, showing immense determination.
‘My condolences to his family &loved ones .May he R.I.P.’

In my professional opinion as a lifestyle expert, one of the roles that Michael Keaton will always be remembered for is his portrayal of both Batman and Bruce Wayne in the 1995 movie “Batman Forever.” Regrettably, this film didn’t quite resonate with critics, garnering only a lukewarm response.
As a die-hard admirer, I must confess that behind the scenes of that iconic movie, there was a fierce creative tension between the brilliant director, Joel Schumacher, and the inimitable Val. In his words, he found Val to be ‘immature and uncooperative’.
He said at the time that Val fought with the crew and refused to speak to him for two weeks.
Joel later called Val: ‘The most psychologically troubled human being I’ve ever worked with.’
In 1997, Val chose not to continue with the upcoming Batman film, and instead, George Clooney took on the superhero’s role that was originally Val’s in the subsequent movie titled Batman & Robin.
Kilmer landed the role of Batman after following a gut instinct to call his agent.
During an African trip in 1994, Kilmer shared in a 2020 interview with The New York Times that it was then when he discovered he had been chosen for the Batman role.

While there, he visited a bat cave and later followed a gut feeling to call his agent.
Once they were in touch, his agent pitched him the role.
According to Kilmer, the reason he stepped down from the role in the upcoming film, The Saint, was due to complications in arranging its schedule.
