Jim Broadbent’s “compelling” British mystery drama with Matthew Goode is leaving Netflix next month

Okay, so I just found out that The Sense of an Ending, with Jim Broadbent and Charlotte Rampling, is leaving Netflix soon, and I had to share! It’s a really gripping mystery, and if you haven’t seen it yet, you seriously should before it’s gone. It’s a fantastic film and I don’t want you to miss out!

The 2017 movie is adapted from Julian Barnes’s 2011 novel and tells the story of Tony Webster and Veronica Ford, who meet again after a long time.

Currently on Netflix, you can watch *The Sense of an Ending*, which features a strong British cast including Matthew Goode and Michelle Dockery. But don’t wait too long – it will be removed from the platform on November 5th.

While the mystery drama didn’t perform exceptionally well in theaters, critics generally liked it, giving it a 75% approval rating on Rotten Tomatoes based on 121 reviews.

According to *The Toronto Star*, director Ritesh Batra has turned the Man Booker Prize-winning novel into a thoughtful and captivating story about dealing with past mistakes and finding a path to forgiveness.

In its review, *The Independent* agreed, noting that the story starts as a simple, familiar family drama but becomes increasingly captivating as it delves into darker territory.

According to *Empire Magazine*, the film is a beautifully made and thoughtfully acted exploration of memory, childhood, and growing older. While it’s a good adaptation of Julian Barnes’s award-winning novel, it’s solid and reliable rather than groundbreaking.

According to *Variety*, the film will likely appeal most to older viewers who can relate to the bittersweet feeling of looking back on life – that mix of wonder and sadness we all experience when remembering the past.

RogerEbert.com offered a more critical take, describing the film as well-acted but overly cautious, with mild humor about getting older and a mystery that doesn’t quite capture your attention.

Several movies will be leaving Netflix next month, including *The Sense of an Ending*, *Hustlers*, and *Parasite*. (Source: What’s on Netflix)
