JFK Jr.’s nephew unleashes on Ryan Murphy and accuses him of ‘making millions’ off Kennedy family tragedy

In my role as a lifestyle guide, I’d like to share an interesting development that unfolded recently. As a continuation of the intriguing saga involving the nephew of JFK Jr., and esteemed television producer Ryan Murphy, a new turn of events emerged on Wednesday.

In a recent Instagram post, Jack Schlossberg, the son of Caroline Kennedy (John F. Kennedy Jr.’s sister), criticized Murphy for reportedly profiting financially from one of the family’s tragic events.

For several weeks, a 32-year-old author has been publicly criticizing a 59-year-old co-creator of American Horror Story on various social media platforms regarding their newest series, American Love Story.

In the debut season of the spin-off show, we delve into the romantic journey of John F. Kennedy Jr., Uncle to Schlossberg, and his future spouse, Carolyn Bessette.

In 1999, the unfortunate incident occurred where the couple and Lauren Bessette, Bessette’s sister, lost their lives in a plane crash. The small, single-engine aircraft that they were traveling in, piloted by Kennedy, collided with the Atlantic Ocean close to Martha’s Vineyard.

Schlossberg expressed disagreement with a particular aspect of Murphy’s discussion on Gavin Newsom, the current Governor of California, during his podcast “This Is Gavin Newsom.

Schlossberg highlighted an excerpt from a news story referencing the podcast. 

Murphy expressed his astonishment regarding Schlossberg’s remarks. He commented, “I found it peculiar to be angry about a relative you barely recall.” This is how the writer and producer put it in their report.

In his caption, Schlossberg went on to demonstrate that he very much remembered his late uncle.

Dear RyanMurphyProductions, I remember my earliest days with John affectionately nicknaming me ‘Jackolatern’ and ‘the nudist.’ He also used to pick me up from school in his Pontiac convertible, as he wrote.

He recalled being the wedding ring bearer for him and the day when he sadly passed away. He also mentioned Wyclef performing at his funeral. Furthermore, anecdotes like the one where he got locked out of a car in an intersection and borrowed a golf club from someone to break the window and retrieve his keys have been shared through stories as well.

Previously, just like before, Schlossberg called out Murphy for supposedly declining to contribute some or all of his income from American Love Story to charities important to the Kennedy family.

He was furious because you’re amassing vast wealth from John, flaunting it publicly, yet refusing to donate any of that fortune to the causes he advocated for, or the public service legacy he stood for.

Schlossberg concluded his comment with a humorous jab, referring to actor Paul Anthony Kelly (portraying JFK Jr. in American Love Story) being accidentally hit by something thrown offhandedly.

Schlossberg was six years old when his uncle’s tragic death captivated the nation. 

A month ago, he criticized Murphy publicly for not supposedly discussing his ideas for American Love Story with the Kennedy family beforehand.

Murphy offered a first glimpse into the upcoming anthology series American earlier in June.

The producer behind the latest hit series, All’s Fair featuring Kim Kardashian, posted images on the official Instagram account of Ryan Murphy Productions, showcasing camera trials with several prominent actors from the show.

In this upcoming series, starting in February 2026, Paul Kelly will portray John F. Kennedy Jr., while Sarah Pidgeon will bring Bessette to life on FX and Hulu.

The American author wrote, ‘Dear Ryan, I have a high regard for John. Perhaps you might want to think about DONATING YOUR ROYALTIES to the Kennedy Library as a token of appreciation?’

In a straightforward manner, here’s how you could rephrase that sentence: “Murphy leaped into the comments to provide his own reaction to Schlossberg, saying plainly, ‘I definitely will, @jackuno.’

Murphy posted a series of photos showing Kelly and Pidgeon dressed up as John F. Kennedy Jr. and Carolyn Bessette, respectively.

Within a generously sized recording studio, the pair of stars underwent a camera trial, marking the beginning of the production process this week.

In the Amazon Prime Video series The Wilds, Sarah is often spotted sporting a black turtleneck, paired with black pants, and a tan coat.

She put on a pair of sleek, black closed-toe shoes and let her long, platinum-blonde hair cascade beyond her shoulder length.

Paul donned a gray, double-breasted suit adorned with a white dress shirt and a red-patterned tie.

In a single snapshot, he was seen wearing sunglasses and posing for an outdoor picture, all the while dressed in a distinct suit.

Kelly adopted a style reminiscent of the late JFK Jr., sporting denim jeans, a green shirt, and a black waistcoat – much like how the attorney had dressed in the past.

In another post on Friday, there was a video showing the two stars getting close for the benefit of the camera.

In addition to the main cast, other renowned figures such as Naomi Watts portraying Jacqueline Kennedy, Grace Gummer taking on the role of Caroline Kennedy, Alessandro Nivola depicting Calvin Klein, Leila George playing Kelly Klein, Sydney Lemmon for Lauren Bessette, and Noah Fearnley assuming the character of Michael Bergin have also been included in the upcoming project.

Social media enthusiasts voiced their opinions about the initial glimpse of the upcoming show, with one writing, ‘Terrific cast selection. It was instantly recognizable as him.’

Originally, someone typed, ‘Wow, I already recognized them without reading the caption,’ and another admirer commented, ‘Excellent choice of actors. Well done. Can’t wait to see how it unfolds.’

The Instagram user exclaimed, “The actor cast for Man, Jr is spot-on!” and other celebrities echoed their sentiments as well.

Fashion designer Marc Jacobs commented, ‘Can’t wait,’ while Office alum Mindy Kaling wrote, ‘Wow.’ 

As Murphy engaged with Schlossberg, the producer likewise addressed a fan’s inquiry concerning the 13th season of American Horror Story.

They inquired if AHS13 would be released this year or not until 2025, to which Ryan replied, ‘Sarah Paulson and I have an exciting project in the works!’

Five days following the crash, it was determined later on that Kennedy’s loss of control resulted in the unfortunate event. Subsequently, the bodies of all three individuals were retrieved from the depths of the Atlantic Ocean.

Prior to her relationship with Kennedy, Carolyn had dated Calvin Klein model Michael Bergin. 

Last year, executive producers Nina Jacobson and Brad Simpson shared with Variety that the story of Bessette and Kennedy has a strong impact today. They find it truly remarkable.

Many young women view [Carolyn] as a symbolic figure representing an intriguing era in history, and it’s hoped that this representation can be brought to life on screen.
