Jett Kenny, 31, reveals he is going bald and is considering getting a Turkish hair transplant

Jett Kenny has revealed the real reason why he shaved off his golden boy locks mid-last year.

The male model and serial reality TV contestant, 31, is going bald.

On Wednesday, Jett took to Instagram Stories to seek advice or suggestions from his 71,000 followers regarding hair transplant procedures.

In 2024, Jett, known as the son of Olympian swimmer Lisa Curry and ex-athletes Grant Kelly (Ironman and canoeist), decided to shave off his hair after participating in The Amazing Race Australia with his partner, Lily Brown.

He started his video by addressing individuals who have undergone a hair transplant, those pondering over getting one, and even professionals performing these procedures.

‘Is it possible to donate my hair for someone else?’ he asked.

Due to constantly needing to shave my head every other day as the hair grows long enough to reveal my bald spots.

Jett faced his phone camera profile-wise and indicated towards his thinning hair on top, usually concealed by fashionable caps and beanie hats.

He inquired, “Can you demonstrate for me what my hairline might appear like if it were a square, if you’re skilled at designing images?

‘Because if my hair was this length all over but it was even, I’d be happy with that.’

The Ironman lifeguard expressed that he remains undisturbed by the idea of recuperating from an operation; however, he’s eager to learn more about his post-surgery appearance before setting any further plans in motion.

He mentioned that there seems to be a recovery in something he doesn’t find particularly concerning. However, he’s curious to check the shape of his hairline, specifically if it’s square-like.

Jett expressed, “I don’t have the intention of growing my hair long once more… as the Viking style is the only look I’d consider going for again – but Lily wouldn’t approve of me sporting a beard.

During his participation in the first season of SAS Australia (aired in 2021), Jett adopted the distinctive style often associated with Vikings.

Jett provided a reference photo of NBA legend Michael B Jordan as his hair inspiration.

‘If you’d had one, do you find your hair is straw-like or wiry?’ he asked.

It looks kind of dead on a few people I’ve seen,’ he continued in the video.

Jett also recently updated his Instagram bio to: ‘Just a bald man.’

His devotees swiftly appreciated the humor in his honest revelation, and they eagerly submitted their funniest ideas for AI prompts to imagine how his hair might appear post-transplant.

One friend humorously remarked, ‘That’s the best I could manage,’ upon placing a hair symbol atop his virtual head.

Jett expressed frustration, saying, “ChatGPT isn’t treating me fairly,” as he posted multiple versions of his selfies featuring pixelated hair.

In his upcoming post, the model decided to use a picture of the famous basketball player, Michael Jordan, as a point of comparison. He mused, “Is it too much to expect someone to resemble Michael B. Jordan?

It’s clear that Jett was talking about the athlete’s hairdo, not their ethnicity, yet the AI produced a different image when given the reference photo as a prompt.

Jett gained prominence due to his well-known family background, modeling gigs, and stints on shows such as Australian Ninja Warrior, Dancing with the Stars, SAS, and The Amazing Race.

He debuted his relationship with Lily in 2022.
