Jesy Nelson finally gets her happy ending as singer reveals she is expecting twins with boyfriend Zion Foster: From mental health battles, Little Mix feud and difficult solo career

She used to be part of one of the UK’s largest girl bands, traveling globally and entertaining crowds numbering in the thousands every evening.

Nevertheless, while Jesy Nelson achieved significant global fame with Little Mix after winning The X Factor in 2011, this success wasn’t without its challenges for her, as she has experienced various hardships since then.

33-year-old vocalist, announcing twin pregnancies with partner Zion Foster last Sunday, appears to have discovered a contented conclusion for herself. She left the music group in 2020 after enduring prolonged bullying online.

During her farewell, Jesy confessed that she struggled greatly under the continuous stress of belonging to a girl group and meeting expectations. Moreover, she revealed that she had not anticipated or been trained for this role, having previously worked as a bartender.

In her highly praised 2019 documentary, Odd One Out, Jesy opened up about her mental health struggles. She shared that the intense online bullying had reached such a peak that it tragically drove her to a suicide attempt through an overdose.

Jesy emotionally shared her personal struggle with depression, detailing instances where online bullies criticized her appearance and weight, which ultimately led to a suicide attempt in 2013, leaving viewers in tears.

In an interview held in April 2023, Jesy revealed that she hasn’t had any contact with Perrie Edwards, Jade Thirlwall, or Leigh-Anne Pinnock since her departure from the band.

Instead of seeking support and help for her mental health struggles while she was in the band, her busy schedule prevented her from doing so, which ultimately led to her decision to leave. She conveyed this to The Sun.

Jesy admitted: “I hold no regrets, as I felt compelled to make choices that were best for me, and the memories from my time with Little Mix remain precious.

Indeed, we haven’t had any conversation since that time. While it’s impossible to predict the future, I truly hope they flourish in their individual paths, as it’s quite intriguing.

I’m cheering everyone on, sincerely hoping they all achieve great success, because they’re all incredibly skilled individuals.

In 2021, during an appearance on The Graham Norton Show to promote her debut single “Boyz,” she mentioned that her bandmates and she no longer communicate with each other.

Truthfully, although it’s unfortunate, I harbor no ill feelings towards them on my part. In truth, my affection for them remains immense, and I sincerely hope they thrive and prosper in every aspect of their lives.

I truly cherished our time spent together, and we created some unforgettable moments, yet it seems this situation calls for patience and time. So, the future remains uncertain.

‘To me, they are still the sickest girl band in the world.’

During a significant controversy, it was when Jesy found herself at the heart of the matter. This was sparked by Leigh-Anne’s accusation that Jesy had engaged in “blackfishing” in the music video for Boyz, as revealed in leaked private conversations with influencer NoHun.

Nicki Minaj, a collaborator of Jesy’s Boyz, later labeled her previous group members as “envious jesters” in a sharp Instagram live broadcast.

In October, Perrie, aged 31, discussed the end of her friendship with Jesy during an interview on Fearne Cotton’s podcast, revealing that the broken relationship served as inspiration for a fresh composition she had written.

In my own words, I’d say: “I penned a tune, a melody borne from a bond I once shared – a friendship that’s now lost its way. It seems we struggle to find the right notes when it comes to discussing the end of friendships.

Experiencing such a profound sadness is inevitable, especially when sharing life’s ups and downs with someone only to find them suddenly absent.

‘But these things happen. Do we try and rectify things? Or just stay away?’ 

Although Jesy has ventured into a solo path and suggested the possibility of an album earlier on, her current discography consists primarily of just two singles: Boyz and Bad Thing (released in 2023).

In the previous year, I had the privilege of being part of my favorite artist’s latest project when she unveiled our duet titled “Mine,” collaborating once again with her partner, Zion. We spent some quality time in the recording studio to bring this beautiful creation to life.

In the meantime, the individual members of Little Mix have pursued thriving solo ventures since the group went on a break, which was announced in 2022.

Jade recently unveiled her latest single, titled “IT Girl,” a week ago, following the massive popularity of her summer hit “Angel of My Dreams.

Even though she hadn’t communicated with her bandmates, Jesy openly shared her views about the single when a fan directly sought her opinion on social media.

The fan asked the star: ‘Jesy, have you heard Angel Of My Dreams? Do you like the song?’ 

To which she positively responded with: ‘I have it’s a vibe!!!’ 

As I continue my journey as a lifestyle expert, it’s heartwarming to see more of our beloved Little Mix members embracing the beautiful adventure of parenthood. After Perrie and Leigh-Anne welcomed their little ones last year, it’s now Jesy’s turn to join the ranks of motherhood in 2022. It’s a testament to their strength, resilience, and the deep love they have for creating families of their own.

In the heartwarming summer of 2023, I found myself embracing double the joy as my husband, Andre Gray, and I welcomed our twins into our family in August. Fast forward to June, under the radiant sun of Jamaica, we exchanged vows in a breathtaking beach wedding that was nothing short of magical.

Back in August 2021, I proudly became a mom to my little bundle of joy, Axel, who entered the world with his father, my beloved fiancé, Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain, by my side. What an unforgettable experience!

Jade has been in a prolonged romance with Jordan Stephens, a member of the band Rizzle Kicks, since they started dating during the lockdown period.

It appears that Jesy and her partner Zion might have reconciled, as suggested by her recent post on Sunday, where they shared exciting news about starting a family together.

Recently, it has been noticed that Jesy was smiling brightly next to Zion, several months following reports of their breakup in September. Interestingly, the vocalist mentioned that she is currently enjoying three meals a day.

Before making an announcement on Sunday, Jesy and the rapper were together for about 18 months. They ended their relationship in November 2023.

After separating five months back, the pair indicated a potential reconciliation by posting a warm photo together, suggesting they are expecting a child.

Jesy and Zion previously split last summer after Jesy struggled with their seven year age gap. 

Nonetheless, they reconciled and have been working on music together lately. One track was revealed in August, while more are still waiting for release.

After rumors surfaced about their breakup, Zion verified that they had indeed parted ways, as he expressed on an OK! TikTok post: ‘A beautiful soul within and without, I wish her only the best.’

The announcement left fans feeling disheartened. They expressed their emotions with comments such as, “That’s too bad, they seemed like a sweet pair,” and “I had been really looking forward to their music.

She truly deserves to be recognized as a beautiful person.”

According to a source, when news broke about their separation, Jesy and Zion had parted ways a month prior and severed all connections. This isn’t the first time they’ve split, but those close to them believe this time might be permanent.

It’s a bit tricky due to the fact that they’ve already produced an Extended Play (EP) containing their collaborative music, but Jesy is hesitant about its release at the moment.

In November 2023, it was verified that Jesy had reconciled with her partner, Zion, whom she had separated from three months earlier following a nine-month relationship.

In January 2023, they were initially spotted together for the first time. This came to light in 2022 when it was revealed that they had grown closer over time.
