Jessie J: Marriage Not a Priority — We’re Growing Closer with Our Son Sky

Jessie J has admitted she ‘isn’t too fussed’ about getting married.

The artist, aged 37, is currently dating ex-basketball player Chanan Safir Colman for about four years now. However, she expresses that there’s no immediate need or sense of urgency for her to get married any time soon.

The artist behind Price Tag casually mentioned that the couple won’t rush into marriage; they plan to tie the knot whenever it feels right for them. While she believes they will eventually get married, it’s not a pressing matter on their current agenda.

The mother of one, discussing her child Sky with Chanan, mentioned that they frequently discuss and laugh about a certain topic. She added that she anticipates they will continue to do so, but stressed that they are in no hurry regarding the matter.

She added: ‘I’ve consistently expressed that I don’t place much importance on marriage, and sometimes, others find this unusual, but it’s simply my personal choice.’

Jessie perceives marriage as being quite formal or legalistic, yet she eagerly wants them to express their affection towards each other.

The pop star would prefer to do a ceremony of love and just have friends and family in attendance.

‘But I’m not in any rush,’ she added. ‘I know he loves me. He knows I love him. We’re good.’

Jessie and Chanan became parents to their newborn son in May 2023, and she expressed, “It’s the strongest connection we’ve ever felt together.

She expressed: ‘He surpasses all my hopes for a father, more than I ever thought possible. I am incredibly thankful that he is so involved in our lives, and so eager to adjust according to my career needs.’

On Friday, she excited her fans tremendously by releasing a fresh new song and revealing the captivating official art for the track.

After unveiling her introspective and revealing track “No Secrets” recently, the artist is back with “Living My Best Life,” a lively, upbeat tune brimming with optimism.

Created by GRAMMY-winning songwriter Ryan Tedder, this fresh track embodies jubilation and individuality, making an ideal counterpart to the enigmatic vibe of “No Secrets”.

As Jesse navigated Los Angeles streets, a lively song reminiscent of both Whitney Houston and Prince filled her Jeep, inspiring a new tune in her mind.

Concerning the tune, Jessie mentioned: ‘The sensation of ascending is what I adore about Living My Best Life, and it shares that same vibe. It seems eternal, reminiscent of the 80’s. It stirs a desire to dance.’

The recently unveiled piece features Jesse making quite an impact wearing just a brown jacket and large tortoiseshell shades.

Smiling during the photoshoot, she fashioned her dark hair into full-bodied curls and adorned herself with large, golden hoop earrings as jewelry.
