Jessie J is frustrated because her second cancer surgery has been delayed, even after she cancelled her tour to prepare for it.
As a huge fan, I was so relieved to hear that Jessie J caught her breast cancer early and had a mastectomy in June. But then, she bravely shared that she needed another operation, and honestly, it just shows how strong she is to be so open about everything she’s going through. I’m sending her all my love and hoping for a smooth recovery.
I was really disappointed when Jessie cancelled her shows, but I totally understand her apology. It sounds like she’s trying to turn things around and make the most of a tough situation, and honestly, that’s all anyone can ask for.
She shared with her fans that she had to postpone a second breast surgery, explaining that it was originally scheduled for two weeks prior.
A week before my surgery, I met with my surgeon to discuss the procedure. It seemed more complicated than he initially thought, so he referred me to another surgeon. After meeting with them, they suggested we could postpone the surgery for a bit.
I had already canceled my tour, so I was understandably upset. However, there wasn’t anything I could do about it, and I received conflicting advice from two different surgeons.

Jessie explained that as soon as she heard the news, she instinctively switched into problem-solving mode and began rescheduling her US tour.
Jessie made a triumphant return to the stage last month, performing live for the first time since overcoming her cancer diagnosis.
She opened her set at BBC Radio 2 In The Park in Chelmsford, Essex to a loud applause from fans.
She became emotional while speaking to the audience, revealing that she had breast cancer surgery eleven weeks prior to that day. Some in the crowd were already aware, while others were hearing the news for the first time.
I recently finished a performance where a lot of unexpected things happened, and I’m still recovering from it. Because of that, I’m nowhere near prepared to deal with Babins right now.
It’s just… I am who I am, and my doctors keep telling me to relax. You know how it is – you can’t really change where you come from, even if you try. It’s like they say, you can take someone from Essex, but you can’t take Essex out of the person.
I’m truly thankful to be here. It means the world to me to see so many of you still singing along after all this time.
‘It truly feels like I’m a little kid. Still doing what I love.’

She also shared that today was a special occasion because her son was watching her perform live for the very first time.
Two-year-old Sky was spotted backstage wearing ear protectors while waving to his mom, who was performing on stage.
Next, Jessie performed her new song, “Living My Best Life,” sharing that it meant a lot to her personally.
She shared that she was diagnosed with something just two weeks before the song came out. While others suggested pausing everything, she insisted that life shouldn’t be put on hold.
She explained that life is like facing a difficult situation – you have to keep going, even when things are tough, and find ways to protect yourself along the way.
For me, music is incredibly healing. It’s what gets me excited about starting each day and truly enjoying life.
I’m thankful my music can offer support or enjoyment to others, whether they’re having a difficult or a wonderful time.
‘So this song is called Living My Best Life, and that is what I’m doing every single damn day.
‘Cause we never know when our last day will be, so soak this up, hug the people you love hard.’
