Jessie J admits she may ‘seem down’ when fans meet her as she’s still ‘out of it’ following her mastectomy as she shares candid update amid breast cancer diagnosis

Jessie J recently mentioned that she might come across as sad when fans encounter her, because she’s still feeling a bit off-kilter during her recovery following her mastectomy.

37-year-old singer revealed recently that she had undergone surgery for breast cancer about two weeks back. However, in her latest statement from last week, she shared that unfortunately, the cancer hasn’t been entirely eliminated yet.

Sharing a detailed message via Instagram Stories, Jessie expressed that she’s not quite at ease after her operation. She mentioned that she’s chosen to discontinue using her pain medication because it doesn’t align with her personal preferences.

Last month, the artist famous for “Price Tag” announced that she had been diagnosed with breast cancer. Although she assured her fans that it was detected early, she expressed her intention to temporarily step away from live performances as she undergoes recovery.

In her latest post, Jessie shared that she is now 11 days after her surgery and feeling well.

I deeply miss my role as an active mother/person, but it’s been pleasant to take things at a slower pace. Meanwhile, Sky is enjoying quality time with Nanny and Grandad immensely.

Although it’s somewhat uncomfortable or slightly bothersome, I can manage it. I’m diligently sticking to my exercise routine and making sure to consume nutritious foods. In an effort to maintain optimal health, I’ve been focusing on eating a very healthy, clean diet.

She went on to say: “I’ve decided to discontinue using pain medications. They just don’t suit me. Plus, I prefer to experience physical sensations naturally, so I can avoid taking too much.

As an over-the-moon fan, I’ve just taken care of a business matter – if you catch my drift, it’s the [poo emoji]. Still sporting my drain. Ever experienced this before? If so, did you feel like you were wandering around like one of those squeaky dog or duck toys?

At home, I keep my laundry on the floor to let gravity aid the draining process. I’m optimistic that it will be dry by the end of this week. I feel hopeful and thankful.

In the latest news, Jessie shared with her followers that she might appear a bit disoriented when spotted in public, acknowledging that her recovery journey is progressing slowly.

She mentioned, ‘In case you encounter me outside, perhaps in a park, exiting a doctor’s office, eating, walking, or engaged in any other activity, and I appear somewhat disoriented, rest assured, I am.’

‘It’s not personal. I don’t have what l usually have to give energy wise, understandably.

I’m making my way there, but the route is leisurely; for the moment, I’m choosing to relax and soak up the peaceful atmosphere, keeping a positive outlook.

Earlier on, it was confirmed by Jessie herself that she has not yet overcome cancer, just one day after expressing her optimism about getting rid of the illness.

On Friday, the singer clarified that her earlier statement had been misinterpreted. She expressed hope for positive updates, but sadly, the cancer has not completely vanished as of now.

Jesse continued by explaining that she was expecting the outcome of some tests and planned to take a week off from social media to concentrate on her healing process.

She expressed that her post discussed the advantages and disadvantages of undergoing breast cancer surgery, with the first advantage being: “The cancer has been completely removed.

Apologies for any confusion, folks! Just wanted to clarify that what I shared earlier wasn’t a confirmed outcome, but rather a hopeful thought. I’m still eagerly waiting for my results and crossing my fingers in anticipation. I guess I assumed the [fingers crossed emoji] would serve as a universal symbol of hope, but it seems not everyone got that vibe.

She continued, ‘This is quite an unusual predicament. I should’ve been more precise. However, as of now, I haven’t received the results from my surgery, which took place six nights ago. I hope they come soon, but dealing with cancer isn’t straightforward, sadly.’

Here’s one way I could rephrase it: “I’m planning to take a break from social media for a week, aiming for a balanced refresh. This time off will help me concentrate on my personal well-being and healing, as well as prevent any potential misunderstandings or misinterpretations of what I communicate.” (First person perspective as a lifestyle expert)

‘My head and boob hurts. Lol, Bye. Always loveeeee’.

After sharing her health update on Instagram on Thursday, there was a misunderstanding that arose, as the post stated: ‘Positives: Cancer is completely gone from my body.’

She mentioned that both her mastectomy and breast reconstruction surgery had been successful, adding a touch of humor with the statement: “My nipple is back in its original spot.

In her ongoing list of advantages, Jessie noted: “Now I can enjoy watching Love Island without any remorse. I’m spending more quality time relaxing and chatting with friends than before.

In addition, she mentioned that her partner, Chanan Safir Colman, their son Sky, and even her own mother, have all been offering support for her.

‘My mum lives with us. Sky just being Sky. Chanan making me feel safe and the messages are 10/10.’

Jessie later clarified that when she wrote “cancer is gone,” she added a hopeful gesture, symbolized by the “fingers crossed” emoji, indicating it was more of a wish than an established fact.

She mentioned: “I underwent surgery only four days back. I was merely discussing the advantages of surgery, this current situation, and maintaining a positive outlook.

I’ll soon find out my results, fingers crossed that I can confirm this later. For now, though, I’m not sure. But I’ll keep a positive attitude and continue expressing what I hope for.
