Jessica Simpson has talked about the ‘deepest heartbreak of my life’ from Eric Johnson split.

The fashion designer was venting to younger sister Ashlee Simpson Ross for The Cut cover story.

Previously, the artist parted ways with her spouse, Eric Johnson. Now, it appears she’s preparing to release an album that seems to express feelings of retaliation or response.

Without this deal, I felt lost and uncertain about who I was, what I stood for, and whom I served. It took some time, but eventually, I came to understand that I deserved to work for myself.

A 44-year-old artist is collaborating with JD McPherson, 47, on her latest album that leans towards gritty revenge themes. Notably, JD is an acclaimed American musician hailing from Broken Arrow, Oklahoma, recognized for his vintage sound in music.

Subsequently, it was DailyMail.com who initially reported that a new piece of music by Jess would be unveiled around February.

The album has also been called ‘gritty.’ 

A year ago, she subtly suggested that her upcoming album, marking 15 years since her debut, would be a deeply personal work. As she expressed on social media, this return to music is a form of self-apology for enduring what I didn’t deserve.

Despite the general expectation that the album wouldn’t be released until 2025, the source asserts that it will actually debut in February. The source added that the album is all set and will make a big impact upon its release.

Last year, the siren produced her music while she was in Nashville, Tennessee. It was there that she reconnected with her deep-seated love for country music.

According to DailyMail.com’s report from mid-January, the album is about heartache, as she wrote these songs during the dissolution of her marriage to Johnson.

A source shared with DailyMail.com that the upcoming album is centered around her shattered heart, which could be interpreted as a form of retaliation or a ‘heartbreak album.’

When Jessica composes music, she freely expresses her deepest feelings without restraint, making it highly intimate. Consequently, her upcoming album will primarily focus on the hardships she’s encountered at home. It carries a profound emotional weight, offering an insight into her perspective.

‘She has been working on the album for years, there is a lot in there.’

Apart from her job in Nashville, she’s also been producing recordings at Henson Recording Studios in Los Angeles.

In September 2023, she last shared a picture with Eric on her Instagram; they parted ways the previous year.

It caused some surprise when Jessica didn’t acknowledge Eric’s 45th birthday on September 10, which seemed to fuel speculation about potential issues in their marriage.

Adding fuel to the fire, he has also been spotted without his wedding ring in recent outings.

On November 11, Jessica stirred up conversation with an enigmatic social media post that seemed to cast doubt or criticism towards someone she is acquainted with.

In a music room in Nashville, the singer started her post by saying that it was there she discovered her unique talent, as expressed in the interviews.

This return is a very individual step, serving as my apology for enduring what I should never have had to bear.

Her statement sparked curiosity among her followers, as they attempted to identify the source of her enduring actions that seemed undeserved towards her.

Simpson has previously teased her new music. 

In December, she expressed that she felt particularly thankful for the exciting new chances and inspiring encounters related to music and fresh entertainment projects.

Earlier, Simpson mentioned that it was her kids with husband Eric Johnson who motivated her to get back into acting again.

The actress from “The Dukes of Hazzard” mentioned that her children haven’t watched her perform live before. She elaborated that Maxwell witnessed his grandmother’s live performance for the first time at a concert alongside Kim Kardashian’s daughter, North West.

According to Simpson, his daughter is traveling by private jet to Las Vegas to meet Katy Perry. Meanwhile, he can’t help but think, “She should have seen me first.

She said, “This isn’t a competition, Jessica. Let your daughter enjoy Katy Perry.” However, there are times when I feel the urge to show them another side of me. She added this.

Following the release of her “Happy Christmas” album in 2010, Simpson expressed amazement about staying relevant and being a subject of curiosity since she hasn’t provided any form of entertainment whatsoever. She has not been entertaining in any way.
