Jessica Simpson’s husband Eric Johnson still ringless while shopping with their daughters

The latest news about her second husband Eric Johnson and their family outing at Whole Foods Market certainly piqued my curiosity.

On Monday, Eric Johnson, Jessica Simpson’s second spouse, took their daughters – Maxwell Drew Johnson (aged 12) and Birdie Mae Johnson (aged 5) – to the Whole Foods Market in Los Angeles for a shopping trip.

It was reported once more that the 45-year-old former NFL tight end, who is married to the 44-year-old CEO of the Jessica Simpson Collection, wasn’t seen wearing his wedding ring. This stirred up speculation about their relationship, as they have been married for a decade and there are whispers that they may have separated.

Eric donned an Aztec-patterned sweater vest atop a blue t-shirt, coupled with denim pants that complemented the hue, along with Nike elevated sneakers. Meanwhile, his two golden-haired children were dressed in their school uniforms featuring knee-length skirts.

It’s generally thought that Johnson is a home-based father to Maxwell, Birdie, and his 11-year-old son Ace Knute, following the closure of their joint venture, Legendary Disciplines, a wellness content platform he started with Sifu Matthew Cohen in 2020.

It’s been a while since the Yale graduate, looking like a silver fox, has been spotted out in public with Jessica, following their appearance together at Birdie’s kindergarten graduation in Los Angeles on June 7.

Since their Easter celebrations on April 9, Simpson has not shared any photos of Eric on social media.

Since appearing in a Chicken of the Sea advertisement in January, the ex-pop star, marking seven years of sobriety on November 1st, has not been photographed with her wedding ring on.

According to a source, it was revealed last month that Jessica and Eric intend to spend the holidays as a family, along with their children.

‘It’s all about the kids and family. They don’t hate each other.’

Another source close to the situation mentioned: ‘They’re working on finding a way to part ways that minimizes disruption for their children. Both of them are deeply concerned about their children’s welfare, and they’re attempting to determine the best course of action for them.’

Johnson had not yet officially ended his marriage with ex-pole dancing instructor, Keri D’Angelo, when he first met Jessica through a mutual acquaintance at a party in May 2010. However, it was only five months later that he completed the divorce proceedings.

Simpson, who released a cover of “Particles” by Nothing but Thieves last year, has been building anticipation for her return to the music scene since April. She expressed that her upcoming music is essentially an apology to herself for enduring things she didn’t deserve.

Despite releasing a cover of “Particles” by Nothing but Thieves as her most recent single in 2021, the Texas native with platinum-blond hair continues to attract an impressive 973K monthly listeners on Spotify.

It remains undetermined when Amazon Prime Video users can start streaming Jessica’s unscripted docuseries featuring music, a project she agreed upon with the streaming service back in 2020.

In 2021, Simpson regained ownership of her 19-year-old fashion brand that she had sold, for the sum of $65 million, from Sequential Brands Group Inc., after a three-year legal struggle.

Initially, this actress from “The Dukes of Hazzard” gained recognition for her powerful three-octave soprano voice. Later, she became widely known when she starred in the MTV reality show “Newlyweds” (2003-2005) alongside her then-husband Nick Lachey.

Previously, the athlete who hails from Massachusetts spent his years from 2001 to 2007 playing football for both the San Francisco 49ers and the New Orleans Saints.
