Jessica Simpson has been rocking a new look lately.

Singer Akon, 45, known for his hit song “I Wanna Love You Forever,” posted a striking black and white photo on Instagram Monday. The picture shows him with brunette hair, a recent change from his usual blonde style.

The singer was pictured sitting on a bed, wearing a black dress and heels covered in hearts – both from her own clothing line.

The mother of three, recently seen in lingerie, looked radiant in a new photo. She captioned it with a playful message: ‘Some people wear their heart on their sleeve, I wear my heart on my feet.’

People loved the photo, with one commenter saying she looked like she was getting younger and that the brunette hair color really suited her.

‘I thought you were Cindy Crawford. You look fantastic!’ another added.

‘You look the best you’ve looked!!!’ 

‘Beautiful,’ another fan added.

Last week the singer shared more black and white snaps as she showed off her darker hair. 

She was pictured wearing a see-through black lace dress with a black fur.

‘The purpose of love is to give love purpose. Happy February❣️’ she wrote in the caption.

People loved her new hair color, and one fan even called it ‘iconic,’ saying it was her best look yet!

‘this hair color is insanely perfect on u.’

‘This hair color is FIRE You look amazing!’ yet another person added. 

Simpson’s brunette look comes after she shared in July that she was ready to start dating again.

During an interview on the Today show, Jenna Bush-Hager playfully asked the singer if he was looking for a relationship and offered to help him find someone to date.

Simpson replied: ‘I’d totally jump on that. Yes I’m single – very into like, very… I’m ready!’

Bush-Hager subsequently questioned: ‘What are you into so I can set my criteria?’

The famous actor went on to describe what they look for in a partner, saying, ‘I’m attracted to people who are unique and don’t fit into any particular mold. It’s not about a certain appearance or anything like that.’

‘I just like for somebody to be individually, who they are. And exude confidence without the ego.

It’s difficult to locate, but I believe it exists. I’m also okay not having constant support from others.

It would be great to be able to share the freedom and independence I currently enjoy with someone else.

Simpson announced her split from Eric in January 2025 after 10 years of marriage.

I was really saddened to see that the pop star shared on Instagram that she and Eric were separating and going through a tough time in their marriage. It was a very honest and difficult thing for her to share, and I’m sending them both strength as they navigate this.

The singer announced that she and Eric are living apart and going through a difficult time in their marriage.
