On Thursday, Jessica Mauboy astonished radio host Kyle Sandilands with an unexpected revelation regarding her intimate life, which she made several months post-childbirth.
During an appearance on The Kyle and Jackie O Show, the renowned singer (aged 36) was inquired by Sandilands whether maintaining intimacy with her husband Themeli Magripilis proved challenging due to their busy schedules.
She knocked back the claim and bluntly said their sex life was stronger than ever.
‘It’s quite the opposite. My ovaries are like, “Hey girl, you want another one?”‘ she replied.
‘I’m like, “well damn, I just gave birth”. Please give this body a moment.’
A shocked Sandilands added: ‘Yeah, give Mumma time to recover before another one!’
In June, Jess revealed intimate details about the birth of her daughter Mia.
The Australian Idol judge expressed uncertainty about the gender of Mia immediately after her birth.
Instead, when their child was born, both Jessica and her husband unintentionally failed to verify the baby’s sex.
The nurse informed the parents-to-be, who chose to remain uninformed about the baby’s sex during Jessica’s pregnancy, that they had welcomed a girl.
‘It was such a surprise,’ Jessica told The Daily Telegraph.
The doctor told me, “Feel free to take a peek now,” as we nearly overlooked checking whether the baby was a boy or a girl. Afterward, we were brimming with happiness and laughter.
The hitmaker confessed ‘she thought’ it was a girl while she was pregnant.
‘You get a sense of knowingness. Either way, I hoped to give him or her everything,’ she said.
In March, Jessica confirmed that she became a first-time mum to Stellar.
It’s known that Mia was born on January 13, but she decided to keep her birth private in order to let her loved ones be the first to meet her without the spotlight of social media.
The singer admitted that motherhood had its challenges.
She shared with the media that it had been quite an exciting, enchanting journey. And, she’s currently creating numerous soothing lullabies for her little one.
In a joyous turn of events for fans, the singer known as The Running Back revealed in September that she was five months along in her first pregnancy.
In 2022, Jessica married Themeli in a modest ceremony at a church in Darwin, and it was during this time that she also launched “Flashback”, a single off her fifth studio album titled “Yours Forever”.
The pair first met in her home town of Darwin, in a nightclub, when she was just 18.
