As a long-time fan of Jessica Mauboy, I must say that her journey has been nothing short of inspiring. From her humble beginnings in Darwin to her successful music career and now, preparing for motherhood – it’s truly heartwarming to witness such a beautiful love story unfold.

Jessica Mauboy is reportedly pregnant.

As reported by The Daily Telegraph, the singer is expected to have her first baby with her husband Themeli Magripilis sometime next year.

The article states that a 35-year-old woman is halfway through her fifth month of pregnancy, and she and her partner have just shared this joyful update with loved ones.

In the year 2022, Jessica got married to Themeli at a small church ceremony in Darwin, while she also launched ‘Flashback’, a track off her fifth studio album titled ‘Yours Forever’.

The pair first met in Mauboy’s home town of Darwin, in a nightclub, when she was just 18.

She described the cheerful tune as something that symbolizes your personal interpretation of love. For her, it perfectly captures the exhilarating sensation, similar to seeing a butterfly, which was how she felt when she first met him.

It’s odd, isn’t it? Coming from a tiny town where everyone is familiar, I’ve never crossed paths with him before. The instant question that popped into my mind was: “Where have you been hiding? Who are you? You seem to be from another planet.

Back then, Mauboy’s career was just beginning.

For seven years, while Magripilis stayed in the bustling heart of the Northern Territory Capital, Mauboy resided and pursued her career in vibrant Sydney. Despite the distance between them, they managed to keep their relationship thriving.

She mentioned that there were times when we felt quite down apart from one another, yet those instances motivated us to improve ourselves and become more courageous.

Yet, Mauboy has largely managed to keep her relationship private.

‘I only put out what I want people to know,’ she said.

‘There’s something really powerful about the sacredness of putting my experiences into music.’
