Jessica Jones could be the next Netflix/Marvel hero to receive her own Disney+ continuation.
What’s the latest Jessica Jones Season 4 update?
Now that Krysten Ritter is reprising her role as Jessica Jones in the new season of Daredevil: Born Again, Marvel Studios executive Brad Winderbaum hinted that a dedicated Jessica Jones Disney+ series might happen sooner than fans expect. He shared this during a recent interview on the Phase Hero podcast.
I recently chatted with Krysten Ritter, and she definitely dropped some exciting hints about Jessica Jones’ future now that she’s back with Marvel. She and the showrunner, Brad, apparently have a ton of ideas they didn’t get to explore before, and she was pretty tight-lipped, saying they’re planning to dive into all of it – so it sounds like we can expect a lot more from Jessica Jones soon!
Created by Melissa Rosenberg, *Jessica Jones* centers on Jessica Jones, a former superhero who now works as a private investigator. She starts her own agency, Alias Investigations, and tries to take down the dangerous Kilgrave. The show is unique among Marvel’s Netflix series, lasting three seasons (with 13 episodes each) – they were released in 2015, 2018, and 2019 – making it the second-longest running Marvel series on the platform after *Daredevil*.
As a huge Marvel fan, I’m hearing rumors of a new Jessica Jones show, and if it happens, it’ll be the third character from the old Netflix Marvel universe to get a revival! We’re already getting a new season of Daredevil – ‘Born Again’ – which is super exciting, and The Punisher is getting a special presentation. Both of those are slated to hit Disney+ in 2026, so fingers crossed we get a Jessica Jones update soon too!
Jessica Jones, Kingpin, and Bullseye are all set to appear in the second season of Daredevil: Born Again. While it’s unclear if they’ll share screen time, a trailer shown at New York Comic Con featured Jessica Jones’ return and showed Daredevil battling in a new suit.
Daredevil: Born Again Season 2 is slated to premiere on Disney+ in March 2026.
