The potential return of Krysten Ritter as Jessica Jones in the MCU could make Cherry’s character redundant, leading to a possible exit for her. As Cherry has been by Matt’s side during his most challenging times when he lacked Foggy or Karen Page, her death would undoubtedly be emotionally impactful.

Yet, upon reflection, it fell flat for me and many fans. The issue lies in the fact that Daredevil was the sole hero visible in the initial lineup of this supposed army, which is somewhat underwhelming considering the abundance of street-level heroes based in New York City within the MCU. However, Jessica Jones’ role in Daredevil: Born Again season 2 promises to shake things up and potentially address these concerns.

If Cherry perishes and Jessica Jones steps in, it might signal that Marvel is leaning towards populating Daredevil’s forces with main MCU characters rather than secondary ones. Strengthening this theory is a video shared by @chrisagwrites on Twitter of an Anti-Vigilante Task Force member repeatedly attacking Cherry from the set of “Daredevil: Born Again” season 2.
