Jessica Chastain has spoken out against Apple TV+ after they decided to delay the release of her new show, “The Savant.”
Apple TV+ announced on Tuesday that it’s postponing the premiere of its show about domestic terrorism. The series centers on an investigator who goes undercover within online hate groups.
On Wednesday, Chastain publicly disagreed with Apple’s decision to delay the release of ‘The Savant,’ stating that they had different views on the matter.
Representatives for Apple TV+ did not immediately respond to The Times’ request for comment.

I’ve always been fascinated by Jessica Chastain, and I recently read a really interesting interview with her. She talked about how she tends to overshare, which I totally get! She also discussed filming ‘George & Tammy,’ and how the timing felt perfect for her as an artist. But what really struck me was hearing her reflect on ‘Zero Dark Thirty.’ She said it completely shifted things for her career, and it’s easy to see why – that was a powerhouse performance that really put her on the map. It’s amazing to hear her talk about her journey and what certain roles have meant to her.
Jessica Chastain recently shared on Instagram that the show she’s been working on for the past five years has coincided with a troubling rise in violence across the U.S. She specifically mentioned the January 6th Capitol riot and the shooting death of conservative activist Charlie Kirk as examples of this recent political violence.
Chastain stated she’s always been willing to tackle tough topics, and she’s saddened the show remains so timely and necessary.
She explained that ‘The Savant’ celebrates the everyday heroes who prevent violence, and recognizing their bravery is incredibly important right now.
Chastain expressed her hope that the show will be available for viewers to watch in the near future. Apple has not announced when the series will be released.
