Jessica Alba reveals why she won't post thirst traps - as she steps out in business chic look in NYC

As a lifestyle expert with decades of experience under my belt, I must say that Jessica Alba continues to impress me with her impeccable style and savvy approach to modern parenting. Her recent outing in New York City was nothing short of chic, exuding sophistication and class from head to toe – quite literally!

On Tuesday, Jessica Alba exuded an air of intelligence and refinement as she made her way through New York City.

43-year-old creator of The Honest Company sported an elegant burgundy ensemble as she strolled around the SoHo district of the city.

She put on a stylish jacket, layered over a maroon dress with a central slit, revealing a hint of her legs.

Matching heels and a quilted clutch polished off the sleek, boardroom-ready look.

Glasses with cat-eye frames subtly concealed her eyes, and flashy earrings brought an elegant flair to her appearance.

Her hair was elegantly styled into soft, wavy curls that tumbled gracefully past her midsection, with a timeless, central parting.

She also worked a manicure done up in a deep shade of plum.

As a fervent admirer, I can’t help but share the thrilling news that my beloved role model, Alba, has just partnered with the social media giant, Instagram! This union is not just about pretty faces and selfies; it’s about empowering teenagers! She’s playing a pivotal role in launching their innovative Teen Accounts feature. I can hardly contain my excitement as I eagerly await what this collaboration will bring!

According to Meta, Teen Accounts are designed to restrict interactions with teens, control the content they access, and guarantee that their online time is productive.

When showcasing the latest feature, Jessica demonstrated that she aims to serve as a role model for her teenage daughters regarding her personal Instagram habits.

This means fans won’t be seeing any thirst traps on her Instagram account.

She emphasized that showing good behavior instead of just instructing children is crucial. In her words, “It’s less about telling them what to do, and more about setting an example.” As for social media, she clarified, “I have no issue with thirst traps, but as a mother of two girls and a boy, I prefer not to flood my posts with such content.

She believes it’s crucial to strive for setting the best example we can, and not limiting ourselves to just one type of content. Instead, she suggests having a mix of different topics to share.

‘And I think, for me, it’s also just reflective of who I am. I’m not a one-dimensional person, and [it’s about] being able to show that.’

Jessica has three kids, all with her spouse Cash Warren: daughters Honor (aged 16), Haven (age 13), and six-year-old son Hayes.

As of now, Jessica’s eldest daughter Honor is the only one of her children using social media.

Jessica shared with People that she recalled her daughter expressing the desire to join social media around 12 or 13 years old. In our household, she was allowed to do so, but only if we managed a shared account and kept it private. Moreover, I wanted to have control over who she followed on these platforms.

The actress disclosed that she took action by unfollowing accounts on her daughter’s profile which she found to be “not promoting a positive or healthy environment” for Honor.

She shared that she plans to stop following certain accounts and instead start following more body-positive influencers, adorable animals, and similar content. This way, the suggested content on her feed will be more positive and appealing.

Jessica mentioned that she’s helping with the rollout of the new Teen Accounts feature, emphasizing that online and digital security is her top priority as a parent.
