Jess Origliasso Loses It at Fan During Wollongong Concert!
At the Yours & Owls music festival in Wollongong, Jessica Origliasso had to be held back by her twin sister Lisa to avoid getting overly excited with a fan during The Veronica’s performance.
40-year-old Australian singer was standing on the stage’s edge in a crouching position, crooning the hit song “Mother, Mother” from their famous 2005 album The Secret Life Of…, when a fan unexpectedly touched her hand.
Video clips shared on TikTok depict Jessica singing softly into a microphone, with her leaning slightly on her toes while wearing towering platform boots.
She outstretched her hand to a hopeful fan in the front row of the packed crowd in the mosh pit.
However, as Jessica attempted to grab hold of the bank (which she likely meant to be a handrail), the fan stubbornly clung on and unintentionally pulled the singer towards it instead. This unexpected action put the singer at risk of falling off the stage, potentially face-first.
In the video, an individual who remains unseen, is seen gesturing an apology, indicating regret, following their realization of the close call they had unwittingly created.

Jessica stopped the performance to angrily tell off the fan.
‘Do not f**king pull me in the audience babe!’ she snapped at them.
She then pointed her finger at the fan, wagging it in a disciplinary fashion.
The singer replied, “Pardon me, but no,” as she tossed her long, green-and-black ponytail over her shoulder and then stood up.
Lisa, who remained seated atop the stage, missed the interaction as she was turned away from it.
The smile fell off Lisa’s face when Jessica stopped singing and felt her sister’s energy shift.
She exclaimed, “Really, Jesse?”, trying to lighten up the moment, in a bid to resolve the situation. “Good heavens!” might be a more polite alternative.
‘Are you rock n’ roll or not?!’

‘Naur!’ Jessica half-laughed as she composed herself.
In a playful spirit, Lisa challenged her by saying, “Come on, let’s see if you can leap over here!” as she leaped up to join her friend, and the duo carried on with their performance.
Approximately 30,000 individuals showed up at the yearly Yours & Owls music festival during the two days of March 1st and 2nd just passed.
As a devoted attendee, I found myself part of an extraordinary crowd that surpassed expectations. So much so, the organizers had to rearrange our gathering from its customary University of Wollongong (UOW) campus location to a more spacious site nestled on Flagstaff hill, just steps away from the beach.
‘The Veronica’s official account titled their shared photos from the weekend as, ‘Enthusiasm for the wild spirit of this weekend,'” (or simply, “They labeled the weekend’s energy-filled images as ‘Love for the crazy vibe’.”)
‘Thank you to the crowds showing up big for Aussie artists right now!’.
The pair, who have been dynamically united, have recently relocated to Australia, with Jessica residing on the Gold Coast alongside her fiancé Alex Smith, while Lisa has settled in the Northern Rivers region.

Veronica’s will embark on a national tour, preparing to open for ’80s icon Cyndi Lauper during her Australian tour in April.
According to Jessica, the Australian music industry is currently facing significant difficulties, as reported in Cosmopolitan Australia’s March issue.
She mentioned that artists often face the challenge of being considered ‘past their prime’ at age 30, making it difficult for them to keep up with the constantly evolving social environment.
‘We need a patriotic support structure.’
Her reaction mirrors a growing pattern among artists, where they respond assertively to aggressive fans who encroach on their personal space or throw items during performances.
More recently, German disc jockey Marlon Hoffstadt paused his set in Adelaide to ask the boisterous audience to calm down, and pop singer Robbie Williams criticized a New Year’s Eve concertgoer in Sydney for singing one of his songs out of sync during his performance, as reported by ABC.
International music sensations such as Adele, Bebe Rexha, Billie Eilish, and Charlie Puth have kindly requested their fans to refrain from tossing items at them during their performances.
