Jess Glynne jokes ‘I better go get a ring’ after girlfriend Alex Scott said she was waiting for her to propose on I’m A Celebrity

Jess Glynne playfully responded to her girlfriend Alex Scott‘s hint that she’s hoping for a proposal, saying she ‘better get a ring’ soon.

The former Lioness, 41, has been romantically involved with singer Jess, 36, since summer 2023.

Alex is a contestant on the show I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! and recently talked about her relationship with a famous musician during Tuesday’s episode.

The presenter shared with Ruby Wax and Shona McGarty that she hadn’t experienced true happiness before meeting her partner.

This led Ruby to ask Alex how he and his partner had initially met. Alex responded, ‘She came up to me at Chiltern Firehouse…’

I was with my friends when she confidently approached me. I immediately liked her boldness, and we had an instant connection. We quickly fell in love.

Continuing, Ruby then queried whether marriage would be on the cards for Alex and Jess.

Alex responded: ‘I will get married to her, just waiting for her to ask, Rubes!’

After seeing the latest episode, Jess joked on her Instagram Stories that she needed to start shopping for a ring.

The three friends talked about social anxiety, and Alex explained that she tends to become withdrawn and self-conscious when she’s in large groups.

She spoke of how Jess encouraged her to come out of herself and ‘show them what I see everyday’.

Prior to entering the jungle, Alex said she feared being apart from Jess for so long.

She told the Daily Mail that this is the longest she and her partner have been separated since they began dating in 2023, adding that it will be a challenge for their relationship.

The retired soccer player also explained why she and her partner kept their relationship private for so long after they began dating.

She explained that they intentionally kept their relationship private at first. They wanted to build a strong connection and understand each other before making it public.

On what she’ll miss about Jess, she continued:  ‘Her cooking pasta for me is absolutely everything. 

I absolutely cherish those rare, peaceful times. My life gets so hectic, so when I finally get home and my wife is cooking, and we can just relax with a glass of wine… it’s everything. It’s those simple moments that really mean the world to me.

Alex added that he’d likely have the football on in the background. He said he’s really going to miss something, particularly when he’s feeling hungry.

I’m probably just going to keep thinking about wanting Jessica’s pasta right now.

The commentator explained that she expects ‘I’m A Celebrity’ to be difficult, as she’s built up a strong defense mechanism because of how the public views her.
