Jersey Shore star Angelina Pivarnick pleads NOT GUILTY for assault and resisting arrest after incident at $1.3M New Jersey mansion she shares with fiancé Vinny Tortorella

As a dedicated follower of Jersey Shore and a fan of Angelina Pivarnick since her days on the original show, I’m saddened to see that she finds herself in another controversial situation. The latest news of her arrest on June 2, 2024, for assault, criminal mischief, obstructing the administration of law, and resisting arrest is alarming and raises concerns about her wellbeing.

Angelina Pivarnick, a reality TV personality from Jersey Shore, entered not-guilty pleas for charges of assault and resisting arrest following an incident at her $1.3M New Jersey home she shares with her fiancé Vinny Tortorella.

On Sunday, June 2, at 11 p.m., the Freehold Township Police Department paid a visit to the 37-year-old TV personality’s residence, resulting in her arrest, according to DailyMail.com.

The specifics of the reported argument remain unclear since the police probe into the matter is ongoing.

Pivarnick was never taken to jail and was, instead, released on summons and ticketed.

I was recently faced with some serious charges during a misunderstanding. The authorities have accused me of simple assault, causing criminal damage, hindering the enforcement of laws, and resisting arrest according to a county clerk’s statement.

James Leonard, representing Pivarnick, described the occurrence as a “minor incident” that became more serious due to an unfavorable response to prescribed medication.

He explained to the media that this was merely a small mishap made worse by a negative response to some over-the-counter medicine.

“We’re eager to find a positive solution to this issue and move on from it. Currently, Angelina is at home recovering and isn’t ready to make any more comments.”

Pivarnick has a Municipal Court hearing scheduled for late July.

It’s uncertain if Tortorella, her fiancé, was involved in the June 2 incident because no charges were brought against him.

According to a reliable tip, Pivarnick and her fiancé had reconciled and were living together again by Monday.

In October 2021, Pivarnick bought a spacious five-bedroom, four-bathroom house with a freehold title, marking the end of her divorce proceedings from Chris Larangeira which were finalized in January 2021.

She began dating Tortorella in 2022 after connecting on social media and they got engaged in 2023.

An episode of MTV’s Jersey Shore: Family Vacation, which premiered in April 2023 and is a continuation of the original Jersey Shore series that started in 2018, featured the proposal being recorded.

Approximately four months after the incident, according to Page Six’s report, there was a called to the authorities by Angelina following an alleged dispute at her residence involving Vinny.

In August, there was an incident of alleged domestic violence, and Angelina made an emergency call to the police as documented in the subsequently released report.

When I saw the police arrive at the scene, my heart sank. As a die-hard fan of the reality show, I wanted justice for my beloved star. But alas, as I stood there, trembling with anger and frustration, Tortorella’s smug face turned to me with a shrug, and he declined to press charges against him. I could hardly believe it. My idol, my hero, had let me down. The injustice was almost too much to bear.

An FOIA request submitted through Page Six revealed that law enforcement created a report related to an investigation following the reported altercation.

At that point, Pivarnick’s lawyer confirmed that Angelina had indeed contacted the authorities and reported an incident at her residence. However, following a conversation with the police, Angelina chose not to press any charges.

Based on my own experiences and observations, I believe that asking for privacy in one’s personal life is a reasonable request that we all deserve, especially when a matter has been resolved. The experiences I’ve had have taught me that respecting people’s privacy is essential to their emotional well-being and overall happiness. So, if Angelina feels the need to ask for privacy regarding her personal affairs now that a matter has been closed, I fully support her decision and urge others to give her the space she needs.

Elizabeth Rozin-Golinder, lawyer for Tortorella, clarified to the publication that their engagement status hasn’t been altered.

I’m thrilled to share some exciting news as an ardent fan! My beloved idol, Tortorella, and the lovely Ms. Pivarnick are still very much an engaged couple and continue to live under one roof. Contrary to any speculations, my hero firmly denies any inappropriate actions that could have prompted police intervention. Moreover, he vehemently refutes any allegations of domestic violence.

My client, at present, hasn’t faced any accusations or been formally charged by Ms. Pivarnick or the police. Kindly allow his personal matters to remain undisturbed during this time.

According to a reliable tip to Page Six, the loving couple’s engagement remained intact following the incident, as they continued to cherish each other deeply.

I couldn’t contain my excitement as I followed the production updates of Jersey Shore: Family Vacation Season 7. Filming started in earnest during the winter of 2023, and by February 2024, it had premiered on MTV. The cast and crew worked tirelessly to bring us more laughs, drama, and Jersey Shore magic. Finally, in May 2024, they wrapped up production, leaving me eagerly anticipating the new episodes.

During an interview with Life & Style in December, Angelina revealed that she and her soon-to-be spouse had been having frequent arguments. She also shared that he wasn’t there for her emotionally when their cherished pet became sick.

She expressed, “I don’t have human children of my own. Yet, I long for infants. However, I won’t start a family with someone who argues with me constantly.”
