Jermaine Jenas' replacement on The One Show is 'REVEALED' after he was sacked by BBC over 'unsolicited texts he sent to female member of staff'

As a seasoned broadcaster myself, I can empathize with Jermaine Jenas’ sudden departure from The One Show. It’s always unexpected when one’s career takes an unexpected turn, especially in the fast-paced world of television.

It’s been reported that a new host for The One Show, following Jermaine Jenas’ dismissal, has been unveiled.

The TV host, who is 41 years old, was dismissed by the BBC due to accusations of inappropriately messaging a woman from The One Show team without her prior consent.

And now The Sun reports that Rylan Clark is the front runner to step in for him in coming weeks.

According to BetIdeas, the publication states that Rylan, a previous contestant on The X Factor who is now 35 years old, is currently favored to take over the position previously held by Jermaine, with odds of 9/2.

Lee Astley, representative of BetIdeas, stated: “Jermaine Jenas being fired from The One Show on BBC has ignited speculation about who might become the permanent host next, and Rylan Clark is considered a strong possibility according to betting odds.”

‘Rylan, an experienced TV host who’s worked on shows like ITV’s This Morning and the Eurovision Song Contest, is being considered for the open position on BBC’s popular talk show, with odds of 9/2 in his favor.’

Bookmakers are offering competitive chances for both Olympic gold medalist Tom Daley and Gethin Jones from Morning Live, in relation to a potential new job opportunity.

As a longtime viewer of the BBC, I have witnessed many changes in their programming and personnel over the years. One recent development that caught my attention was the departure of Jermaine from their presenting line-up. Having followed his career for quite some time, I must say that this news came as a bit of a surprise to me.

As a diligent follower, I’m sharing that I allegedly received uninvited text messages from Jenas, according to reports from The Sun.

Responding to the allegations, a representative for Jenas stated: “At this moment, I’m unable to discuss it.”

“I want to make it clear that I’m feeling unsettled right now. Every situation has its complexities, and this one is no exception. To get a better understanding, I plan to consult with my legal advisors regarding the matter.”

As reported by the BBC, the former Premier League footballer’s employment was ended this week due to suspected misconduct in the workplace.

The corporation added: ‘It followed allegations involving digital communications such as texts, which were raised with the corporation a few weeks ago.’

According to reports from the BBC, Jenas will stop hosting the evening show right away. Additionally, he seems to have been taken off the talent roster on agency MC Saatchi’s website.

According to what was shared with the Mail, ‘Everyone was taken aback by the news, and his coworkers have been informed that he won’t be returning. Initially, they had no idea about the situation, but when they learned of it, they were utterly shocked as they hadn’t anticipated this at all.’

Yesterday afternoon at 4pm, the former Premier League star was seen grinning during his live hosting of TalkSport Drive, mere moments after news broke that he had been dismissed by the BBC.

Today, it was expected that Jenas would return to the show, but according to Mail Sport, this plan has now been cancelled.

Yesterday’s video clip shared on Jermaine Pennant’s Instagram shows Jenas reacting strangely when Pennant mentions, “When you and your best friend are on the radio.” (Paraphrased)

It has been acknowledged that concerns about his behavior at work were brought up, and these matters were discussed with the broadcasting company a couple of weeks back. Subsequently, they decided to take appropriate steps.

On July 22, the married father of four recently appeared on The One Show with Alex Jones, where they interviewed pop star Will Young. Additionally, he was part of the Match of The Day panel on May 4.

A representative from the BBC has verified that Jermaine Jenas is no longer a part of their regular broadcast team.

In an email to his team on Thursday, Alex Kay-Jelski announced that Jermaine Jenas is no longer associated with BBC Sport.

Regarding the disclosure, a source shared with The Sun, “This situation has become an absolute headache for the BBC.”

Previously, Jenas had the role of host for Match of the Day’s supplementary edition, and he frequently appeared as a commentator in the BBC’s coverage during the Euro tournament.

There are discussions about him becoming Gary Lineker’s replacement on Match of the Day, as speculation grows that he might be departing soon.

Previously, the ex-athlete provided commentary for this year’s Euro tournament held in Germany, specifically serving as a joint analyst during the semifinal match between Spain and France on July 9th.

Previously renowned soccer player, Jenas, aged 41, started hosting The One Show alongside Alex Jones in the year 2020.

A year later he became one of its permanent hosts.

Apart from representing England, he spent eight years (from 2005 to 2013) with Tottenham Hotspur as well. This tenure began following his transfer from Newcastle United.

Off the pitch, Jenas is married to wife Ellie who he tied the knot with in 2011.

In their family setup, there are two girls named Geneva and Olivia, along with a baby boy named Jacob. Additionally, Jenas has an older daughter from a past relationship who resides in the U.S., living with her mother.
