As a die-hard fan of historical dramas and biopics, I was utterly captivated by the grandeur and intensity that surrounded the gala screening of The Apprentice at the BFI London Film Festival. The sight of Jeremy Strong, resplendent in his brown suede suit, transported me back to the tumultuous era of New York City in the 1970s and ’80s – an era that I’ve been obsessively researching for years!

At the BFI London Film Festival’s gala screening of The Apprentice on Tuesday, Jeremy Strong presented a sharp and intelligent appearance.

The 45-year-old actor, who plays lawyer Roy Cohn in the contentious Donald Trump biography series, donned a brown suede suit as he strolled on the red carpet.

As an ardent enthusiast, I paired that snazzy two-piece suede outfit with a cozy polo neck jumper in the same hue, then completed the look with a sleek set of patent shoes.

Jeremy welcomed Sebastian Stan, the actor portraying Donald Trump, Maria Bakalova, starring as Ivana, and the filmmaker Ali Abbasi to join him.

The movie detailing Trump’s property business has sparked controversy following its poor performance at the box office and harsh criticism from Trump himself.

Donald lost it on Truth Social over the new movie on Monday .

It includes controversial scenes including one where Trump sexually assaults his then-wife, Ivana, and one where he gets liposuction and surgery to cover up a growing bald spot at the back of his head.

Trump labeled the film as “fake” and “poorly tasteful” on Truth Social, expressing hope that it would flop.

He stated that it was a low-cost, damaging, and politically repugnant attack piece, published just prior to the 2024 Presidential Election, with the intention of undermining what he considers the most significant political movement in the history of our nation.

As a devoted follower, I’d express it this way: My beloved late wife, Ivana, was an exceptionally kind and wondrous individual. Our relationship was truly remarkable, and it remained strong right up until the day she left us.

‘The writer of this pile of garbage, Gabe Sherman, a lowlife and talentless hack, who has long been widely discredited, knew that, but chose to ignore it,’  he continued.

It’s disheartening that such individuals who are part of an enterprise, hopefully not successful, have the freedom to speak and act maliciously against a Political Movement, which is significant and transcends all of us. #MAGA2024

Before creating his debut film, Sherman had previously written articles for Vanity Fair and New York Magazine, and he also penned “The Loudest Voice in the Room,” a biography on Roger Ailes.

Following the adaptation of the book into a Showtime limited series with Russell Crowe, Sherman began writing the film which eventually became known as The Apprentice.

He said he thoroughly reported out the script.

Sherman mentioned during his latest conversation with The Hollywood Reporter that he extensively studied Donald Trump, Roy Cohn, and New York City’s landscape from the 1970s to the ’80s.

Next, I stepped outside to speak with individuals familiar with Donald and Roy from that period, seeking additional stories. This approach combined traditional historical research with personal interviews conducted by me.

The rape scene is based on a divorce deposition from Ivana Trump that she later recanted in 2015 after he announced his first presidential run.
