Jeremy Renner Reveals ‘Tiny but Monumental’ Mistake That Almost Killed Him in Snowplow Accident

Jeremy Renner, well-known actor from Hollywood, has shared insights on a seemingly minor yet profound error he committed that led to a harrowing snowplow incident, narrowly missing his life.

As a lifestyle enthusiast, I recently found myself sharing a heartfelt account of an unforgettable experience that took place on New Year’s Day 2023. That fateful day, I was unfortunately caught in an unexpected incident outside my Lake Tahoe residence when I bravely attempted to rescue my beloved nephew from harm, only to be pulled under a snowplow.

In his upcoming memoir, 52-year-old Renner admitted that he neither activated the handbrake nor removed the safety mechanisms on the vehicle’s wheels.

At that particular instance – a seemingly insignificant, pivotal, life-altering second – my brief lapse in judgment would permanently redirect the path of my life.

In the cabin of his massive snowcat, which weighed 14,000 pounds, Renner suddenly realized his nephew was in danger. He quickly exited to rescue him.

In his words, he slipped off the speeding train tracks and failed to reach the cabin. Instead, he was propelled forward forcefully, losing all control.

In an instant, I was hurled from the swiftly rotating steel rails, my limbs thrashing about. I soared over the front edge of the tracks, hurtling ahead, eventually landing heavily on the compacted ice below, where my head struck the ground forcefully and immediately split open.

In the harrowing ordeal I recently experienced, a relentless symphony of crushing noises echoed as some 14,000 pounds of galvanized steel machinery inexorably rolled over me. The chilling cacophony was a grotesque soundtrack to an unforgettable moment.

Renner suffered 38 broken bones in the ordeal. 

His nephew provided assistance until professional help arrived at the location. Later, Renner was transported by helicopter to the hospital, where he stayed for over two weeks and had numerous operations performed on him.

Regardless of the obstacles, Renner is back at work, currently filming Wake Up Dead Man: A Knives Out Mystery – which marks the third installment in the Knives Out franchise.
