Jeremy Clarkson’s Rom-Com Moment at Cheltenham Festival with Lisa Hogan
On Friday, during the Cheltenham Festival, Jeremy Clarkson spent the final racing day delighting in the company of his girlfriend, Lisa Hogan.
The previous host of Top Gear, aged 64, and the actress, aged 51, appeared lovestruck upon their arrival at the racetrack.
The pair, who collaborate on the Clarkson’s Diddly Squat farm, started dating as early as 2017 following an introduction by mutual friends at a holiday gathering.
Jeremy was filled with joy as he took pictures with his cherished companion, later spending the day at a horse race event.
Lisa looked effortlessly stylish in a beige and white cape, teamed with a chic brown hat.
The farmer donned a dark-brown coat and a checked shirt, completing the ensemble with a vibrant blue tie.
Initially, Lisa made it clear that she didn’t immediately fall for the TV personality; instead, he had to put in effort to capture her heart.
In an interview with The Sun in June, she said, “I figured, ‘Well, you have a certain reputation,’ so he had to work hard to win my affections!
She mentioned: “For about three months straight, he pursued me diligently!… Not only does he strive to keep me amused, which is something I truly value. But we also seem to have a good rapport.
Back in April 2024, Lisa discussed her hopes of getting engaged to the outspoken presenter.
During a chat with The Sunday Times, they reminisced about the upcoming return of their show, as memories surfaced of a past discussion when the subject of proposing had come up during a stroll – a moment that had been captured in an earlier episode.
When Jeremy announced he had a major surprise for her, she inquired if it meant a proposal. However, instead of responding to her question, he feigned ignorance and instead revealed a willow tree that had miraculously sprouted again after falling down.
After she inquired further regarding the proposal, he responded by saying: ‘Let me ponder over the proposal. I’m just not prepared quite yet.’
Discussing the exchange, Lisa has now said: ‘I just thought I might surprise him.’
When inquired about whether she seized the opportunity of Leap Year Day to make a proposal (since traditionally it’s women who do), she remarked: “Jeremy might not realize that I made a proposal, but he wasn’t wearing his hearing aids at the time, so it will remain our little secret.
Jeremy has been married twice before.
In 1989, he got married to his first spouse, Alexandra James. However, their marriage lasted only six months, and they separated in the year 1990.
Jeremy went on to remarry as he found love with his second wife Frances Cain.
For over twenty years, the duo remained married, had three kids – daughters Emily and Katya, along with their son Finlo – before deciding to part ways.
