Fans are buzzing about artwork depicting Jeremy Allen White as Wolverine in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, despite his previous statements suggesting he wasn’t interested in joining the franchise. White’s popularity has soared thanks to the hit show The Bear, which has earned him numerous award nominations and wins, and quickly led to speculation about a potential role in the MCU.
It’s become common for up-and-coming actors like White to be fan-cast in Marvel Cinematic Universe roles. Currently, the most popular choice for a rebooted Wolverine in future X-Men movies is him. Even though Hugh Jackman has played Wolverine in the MCU, a new actor may take on the role soon.
On Threads, artist @jobhutz imagined what Jeremy Alen White could look like as the MCU Wolverine.

A fan created artwork shows the actor wearing Wolverine’s classic yellow and blue costume from the comic books. While it has black stripes, the design is distinct from the suit Hugh Jackman ultimately wore in the recent Deadpool & Wolverine movie. The artist also accurately captured his beard and hair.
Could Jeremy Allen White Ever Join The MCU As Wolverine?

Jeremy Allen White’s success on The Bear ultimately led to a meeting with Marvel Studios. In a 2023 interview with GQ, White admitted he didn’t handle the meeting well, saying he went in with a negative attitude. He implied that this likely ruined any chance of him joining the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
The actor admitted he didn’t approach his previous involvement with superhero movies in the best way. Speaking on the Happy Sad Confused podcast, he said he regretted how he handled a particular meeting and wished he’d done things differently. However, he still isn’t sure what kind of role he’d be suited for in that genre.
So, I was reading about Jeremy Allen White, and it sounds like he feels his talks with Marvel didn’t really go anywhere. He doesn’t seem too keen on doing a superhero movie, which is fair enough! Right now, Hugh Jackman is still our Wolverine in the MCU, but with Avengers: Secret Wars basically hitting the reset button on everything, they’re going to need a new actor to take on the role for the upcoming X-Men movie. It’ll be interesting to see who they cast!
Why Jeremy Allen White Would Be Great For The MCU Wolverine

Putting his recent statements aside, Jeremy Allen White would be an excellent choice to play the new Wolverine. After Hugh Jackman spent 25 years embodying the character, the next Logan needs to have a similar serious, tough, and commanding presence.
Jeremy Allen White’s performance as Carmy in The Bear proves he’s one of the most talented dramatic actors working today. He excels at portraying intense emotions with minimal dialogue, making him a great fit for the role of Logan (Wolverine). At 34, he’s young enough to play Wolverine for the next ten years, which would be perfect for the planned X-Men reboot in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, although that currently seems improbable.
