Jeremy Allen White gets surprise visit from Bruce Springsteen on set of Deliver Me From Nowhere biopic

I couldn’t contain my excitement when I found myself standing alongside the legendary Bruce Springsteen on the bustling set of the anticipated biopic about him in the Garden State – Deliver Me From Nowhere. It was a dream come true, being so close to an idol who has soundtracked my life for years!
33-year-old performer, who portrays Bruce (or “The Boss” as fans affectionately call him), along with his 26-year-old co-star Odessa Young, filmed scenes outside of a house in Bayonne on Tuesday. The young actress plays Bruce’s romantic interest, and they were joined by a little girl during the filming.
I donned the air of a seasoned musician, draping a sleek black leather jacket over a checkered plaid shirt. To finish off, I paired my attire with fitting black denim jeans and boots that echoed their dark hue.
At the same time, Bruce, who is 75 years old, was spotted on the filming location engaging in conversation with director Scott Cooper.
The artist known for “I’m On Fire” displayed an effortless coolness by wearing a green jacket bearing his name, coupled with coordinating cargo pants and earthy brown boots.
Deliver Me From Nowhere was adapted from a book of the same name written by Warren Zane.
Springsteen’s eyes were shielded with black sunglasses.
While Odessa sported a chic look in a soft baby blue sweater and matching denim jeans, she was spotted strolling around the outdoor stage barefooted.
At one point she appeared to kiss Jeremy on the cheek while filming.
It’s not the first time Springsteen dropped in on set.
Additionally, he was seen visiting recently, since Jeremy is filming the movie in New Jersey, which is Springsteen’s birthplace.
At the time the duo were seen sharing a warm hug and exchanged a few words.
As the screenwriter and director of the movie, Cooper described the production process as a remarkably humbling and exhilarating experience.
In a statement to Variety, Cooper expressed that the album’s genuine, unpolished depiction of life’s hardships and strength struck a profound chord within him.
Our movie intends to embody the same essence, portraying Warren Zanes’ captivating account of Bruce’s life on-screen authentically and optimistically. This endeavor is designed to pay tribute to Bruce’s legacy by offering an inspiring and transformative cinematic journey.
The main filming sites will be spread across New York and New Jersey, yet some scenes may also be captured in Los Angeles on occasion.
Allen’s co-stars also include Jeremy Strong and Stephen Graham.
In April, it was officially announced that the actor from “Shameless” was the preferred candidate to portray Springsteen, taking on the lead role in the film.
White revealed to Deadline in September how ‘excited’ he was to star in the film.
White remarked, “I have an exceptional group of individuals assisting me, and Bruce has been exceptionally kind, helpful, and readily accessible. This has made the entire experience even more enjoyable for me.
Earlier this month, Springsteen shared his thoughts on the upcoming biopic, expressing satisfaction with the entire production.
‘I’ve seen the scripts and I’ve talked to the director,’ Springsteen said.
“I don’t have much to add right now because they’re still assembling everything, but I can’t wait for this project to get underway!
The movie chronicles Springsteen’s creative process as he works towards producing his sixth album, Nebraska. Unlike his prior work, this one features a more minimalistic approach.
This past week, a picture advertising his role as The Boss from the movie got shared on social networking sites, featuring him.
The image prompted immediate harsh responses online, with viewers noting the striking contrast between White and Springsteen’s appearances.
Deliver Me From Nowhere is scheduled to premiere in theaters, via 20th Century Studios, in 2025.
