The movie serves as a sequel to the 1997 film with the same title, featuring Freddie Prinze Jr., Sarah Michelle Gellar, and Ryan Phillippe alongside Joshua Jackson as four high school friends who conceal a terrible incident. However, their secret returns to torment them exactly one year later.

In the upcoming release on July 18, Hewitt and Prinze Jr. reprise their roles as Julie James and Ray Bronson from the original story. This time, they’re assisting a fresh batch of children who are being pursued by a terrifying fisherman.
