Jennifer Lopez’s Heartfelt Promise to Twins After Ben Affleck Divorce Revealed!

Jennifer Lopez recently disclosed the vow she made to her two kids after their highly publicized separation from Ben Affleck a year ago.

Last year, the brief marriage of the popular duo concluded, following closely behind Jennifer Lopez’s movie based on their love story, a self-funded documentary featuring her ex-husband, and the termination of her global tour titled “This Is Me… Live.

As a loving parent, I shared my heartfelt words of comfort and reassurance with my teenage twins, Max and Emme, when we faced difficult times together, as reported in an interview with El Pais. At their age of 17, they were understanding the turmoil we experienced, and I made sure to provide them with the emotional support they needed during that challenging period, which they share with me and our former husband, Marc Anthony.

She stated, “I assured them, ‘This is a tough period, but you’ll witness I’ll emerge on the other side stronger and improved.’ I kept that promise, and they can feel it today. That brings me immense tranquility in my life,” she expressed.

As I prepare for my upcoming summer tour, Up All Night: Live in 2025, I am thrilled to share that this journey marks the culmination of years of personal and professional growth. This tour will serve as an exciting opportunity for me to connect with you all and celebrate the milestones we’ve achieved together.

She expressed joy at having made progress since the previous years, proud of her resilience during challenging times for her children who have grown stronger as a result. She added that it’s an excellent moment to celebrate life, dance, sing, and enjoy everyone’s company.

This July marks the start of Lopez’s tour, taking her music to destinations like Egypt, Spain, Italy, and many others.

She remarked about the tour, “This moment feels incredibly right, and I believe the last such moment was six years back. However, she purposefully omitted any reference to ‘This Is Me… Live’. She desires to embark on a tour only when it’s about celebration, assuring us that we’re going to have a fantastic time.

Last year, the live event featuring Selena Gomez was called off. A declaration was made explaining that Selena would be stepping away to spend quality time with her kids, family, and dear friends.

Jennifer Lopez, without explicitly mentioning Ben Affleck, reignited their relationship in 2021, just following her breakup from Alex Rodriguez.

Initially, the pair often referred to as ‘Bennifer’, had plans to get married many years back. However, they ended up separating after pushing back their wedding day.

After drifting apart at some point, they managed to reconnect with each other amidst the pandemic, ultimately getting married in Las Vegas in 2022. Following that, they held a grander celebration of their union at a later date.

However, more than a year prior, rumors swirled that the pair’s relationship may have been strained, and in August 2024, Lopez eventually filed for divorce. The union came to an end a few months afterwards.

Additionally, Lopez had taken their love story a step further by creating a movie titled “This Is Me… Now: A Love Story”, which was later renamed “The Greatest Love Story Never Told”. He also produced a documentary about the film’s production (involving Affleck and funded by Lopez) called “The Making of The Greatest Love Story Never Told”. Furthermore, he had planned a world tour for the project, but it was eventually cancelled.

During a tough period, Lopez turned to reading, spiritual practices, and introspection as a means of coping with her distress.

She mentioned that it had been a challenging year for her, letting out a sigh. Unforeseen events occurred, leading her to immerse herself in reading numerous books, engage in deep self-reflection, practice meditation, and pray frequently. Her goal was to strengthen her bond with God and fortify the family unit consisting of herself and her two twins.

She mentioned that she cherishes listening to individuals who have gone through situations similar or dissimilar to hers as her favorite part.

Reading proved to be particularly helpful.

She mentioned that she has immersed herself in numerous books on topics such as childhood, marriage, relationships, various expressions of love, the human brain, and science. Over time, she’s also engaged in individual therapy, couples therapy, and family therapy sessions. In essence, she’s been on a continuous quest for growth.

Reflecting on the matter, I’d say it boils down to self-discovery and understanding. It requires readiness and a strong desire. Yet, modifying some aspects isn’t always easy, but it is possible.

Despite their split, Jennifer and Ben appear to be on okay terms these days.

Last month Affleck has praised Lopez for being ‘spectacular’ to his children.

Despite their divorce, the 52-year-old actor maintains a great respect for his first wife Jennifer Garner, who are parents to Violet (19), Seraphina (16), and Samuel (13).

Last month, both his offspring and those he fathered attended the Los Angeles debut of his latest action movie, The Accountant 2, with him.

On the red carpet, Ben couldn’t help but commend Jennifer Lopez for her admirable efforts in keeping a strong bond with his children, even after their separation.

In a conversation with Entertainment Tonight, he expressed that “Jennifer Lopez is simply outstanding, wonderful with my children, and our relationship continues to be strong.

I deeply appreciate and cherish her children, who are truly remarkable. She is an immensely valuable and highly respected individual with immense integrity whom I hold in great admiration and gratitude.

‘I’m thrilled that the kids are here with me.

‘The relationships that you can have with children like that, it’s the joy of my life.

‘And those kids are amazing, and I’m glad that this is a movie they want to come to.’
