Jennifer Lopez made a head-scratching move in a new Instagram post.
The 56-year-old singer, originally from the Bronx, was wearing a gold necklace with a name on it, but it didn’t seem to spell out her first name.
Instead, people started calling them Bennifer – a combination of her first name and the first name of her previous husband, Ben Affleck. They were married from 2022 to 2025.
In fact, that is what the couple went by when they were together in 2001 and again 20 years later.
People noticed something unusual in the movie, with one fan commenting, ‘Is her necklace spelling out Bennifer? Or am I seeing things? She looks [fire emojis] either way!’ Another user questioned, ‘Does her necklace say BENNIFER?‘
Lopez didn’t offer any explanation about the necklace in her post, simply using three heart emojis. She paired this with a delicate, almost see-through, light purple sweater that revealed her black bra underneath.
Real Housewives of New Jersey star Melissa Gorga wrote ‘beyond fire.’

This comes after Lopez said her Affleck divorce was the ‘best thing that ever happened’ to her.
Looking back on their breakup more than a year later, the Mother actress shared that the split ‘changed’ her and ‘helped me grow in a way that I needed to.’
In August 2024, Lopez initiated divorce proceedings from Affleck on what would have been their second wedding anniversary, stating irreconcilable differences as the reason.
After their divorce was finalized earlier this year, she said she ‘had so much fun.’
During Sunday’s broadcast of CBS News Sunday Morning, she shared with Lee Cowan that she experienced a ‘tough time’ following their separation.
She remembered working on her latest movie, Kiss of the Spider Woman, and noted that her former partner was also an executive producer on the project.
The film first showed at the Sundance Film Festival in January of this year, which was also the month their divorce was completed.
When questioned about navigating a difficult period in her personal life, she admitted she struggled immensely, stating she could hardly cope.

‘It was extremely difficult,’ she admitted, reflecting on working on the same project as him shortly after they broke up.
She said working on the film helped her focus on something outside of her heartbreak.
‘It was hard not to think about stuff, but it was like the best and the worst of times, in a way.
She shared, ‘Every moment on set, every moment I was doing this role, I was so happy.‘ But when she returned home, things were difficult. ‘And then it was like, back home, it was not great.’
She added: ‘And it was just like, “How do I reconcile this?” But you get through it.’
The singer of On the Floor later shared that their divorce was the ‘best thing that ever happened to me’ because it allowed her to ‘grow.’

She said their separation ultimately helped her ‘become more self-aware.’
‘I’m a different person now than I was a year and a half ago,’ she told Cowan.
After their breakup, she shared that she had ‘probably the best summer I’ve ever had’ this year.
‘I had so much fun. I’m able to enjoy things more and be great,’ she said.
She also remembered her former partner with affection when discussing how he helped with her movie version of the Broadway show Kiss of the Spider Woman.
She explained that the film simply wouldn’t exist without her ex-husband and his company, Artist Equity.
‘I will always give him credit for that,’ she said, then clarified it wasn’t due to him constantly ‘pushing’ for the movie, but because ‘they financed it.’
She remembered telling him that this role felt destined for her and that she really wanted to play it. He simply said, “Okay,” and then worked to make it a reality.
Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck were married for two years, beginning with a private wedding in July 2022. The marriage ended when the singer filed for divorce in August 2024.
The couple first dated in the early 2000s, then their relationship was revived in 2021. They got married a year after that.
