Jennifer Lopez was the highlight of Wednesday’s An Unforgettable Evening gala, and she also made sure to snap some fun backstage photos.

The 56-year-old celebrity turned heads in a revealing black slip dress, which she paired with a chic black blazer.

Jennifer Lopez looked stunning despite recently sharing her struggles after her divorce from Ben Affleck. She wore dazzling jewelry, including sparkling earrings and a large ring, and her makeup and nails were perfectly done.

A second photo, taken from farther away, showed off her entire outfit, from her neatly styled hair down to the bottom of her elegant dress.

She also included a selfie that allowed a glimpse of a flower bouquet and art on the wall.

Lopez seemed particularly radiant that night, and it might be because she’s enjoying a positive new chapter after her split from Ben Affleck.

She first dated her Gigli costar from 2002 to 2004. They later rekindled their relationship in 2021 and married in 2022, but divorced two years later. Now, she says she’s happier with her life than ever before.

She explained that she had to pause her life completely and take a year off. She cancelled all her planned tours and made a conscious decision to stay home and process everything that had happened, without trying to distract herself with work, relationships, or anything else – she simply allowed herself time to be present with her feelings.

When asked about her earlier statement that her life felt like it ‘exploded,’ Lopez confirmed that was how it felt. She explained she needed to focus on being with her children, and that was her main priority then.

I realized I needed to understand what was happening within myself. I knew I couldn’t blame others for my situation, because I believed the real lesson was about self-discovery. So, I started focusing on figuring out my own issues and motivations.

And the On the Floor hitmaker doesn’t want to ‘ruin’ her current happiness by dating again.
