Jennifer Lopez' $17m ring collection REVEALED as its reported she'll keep $5m engagement diamond from Ben Affleck amid divorce

As a seasoned observer of celebrity romances, I must say that the story of Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck is nothing short of extraordinary. Their love story has been a rollercoaster ride, filled with twists and turns, yet they always seem to find their way back to each other. Their latest chapter, marked by a stunning $5.6M green engagement ring, is a testament to the power of true love and second chances.

Throughout her vibrant romantic journey, Jennifer Lopez has accumulated an astounding assortment of engagement rings valued at approximately $17 million, having been engaged on six separate occasions and exchanging vows four times.

As a die-hard fan, I can’t help but feel the impact when the legendary “On The Floor” artist, at 52 years young, made it official: she’s parting ways with Ben Affleck. This life-changing decision came on a poignant day – their second wedding anniversary, coincidentally also Tuesday, when she filed for divorce herself.

Considering her past, it seems probable that the actress will hold on to the ‘lucky’ 5.6 million dollar emerald-cut engagement ring from Ben.

Adding to her collection, the stunning piece of jewellery will join an ever growing collection alongside the pink rock Ben gave her 20 years ago, as well as the rings from former husbands Marc Anthony, Cris Judd, Ojani Noa and former fiancé Alex Rodriguez.

Here TopMob takes a look through Jennifer’s impressive collection of hefty diamonds.

Ojani Noa: $130k

In 1997, the actress from Hollywood got married to her first husband, Ojani Noa, following his proposal that came with a marquise-cut diamond on a golden ring.

In an interview with DailyMail.com, Laura Taylor, an expert on engagement rings at Lorel Diamonds, shared that Jennifer Lopez’s first engagement ring was given to her by Ojani Noa back in 1997.

‘This was a 3.5-carat marquise-cut diamond on a yellow gold band, simple yet elegant, valued today at around $130k.’

Jennifer and her waiter-model husband were wedded for nearly a year, but they officially ended their marriage in January 1998 by getting divorced.

Ojani’s ring is the ‘cheapest’ of her rings and was the first to join her collection.

Cris Judd: $200k

2001 saw Jennifer walking the aisle alongside backup dancer Cris Judd, whom she had first crossed paths with during the filming of her Love Don’t Cost A Thing music video.

Cris proposed with an emerald-cut diamond, set on a platinum band with diamond pavé.

According to expert Laura it is worth around $200k, her second most inexpensive rings.

After just nine months, their union ended when they filed for divorce in July 2002. The following year, in 2003, the divorce became legally finalized.

Ben Affleck: $2.6m

In 2001, Jennifer and Ben crossed paths for the first time while working together on the film “Gigli”. Their friendship blossomed into a romantic relationship later that year, leading to their engagement in 2002.

The engagement made headlines after he presented the singer with a 6-carat radiant-cut pink diamond flanked by two white trapezoid-cut diamonds, set on a platinum band.

According to the specialist, this distinctive ring, estimated to be worth around 2.6 million dollars, ranks among the most renowned colored diamonds used for engagement rings worldwide.

During an interview in November 2002, Jennifer explained to Diane Sawyer that the proposal from Ben was “not just conventional, but exceptionally grandiose – exactly the kind of thing one would expect from him… It was incredibly beautiful.”

In January 2004, Jennifer and Ben broke off their engagement. By the following year, Jennifer wed Marc Anthony, whereas Ben started a relationship with Jennifer Garner, who he later married in 2005.

Marc Anthony: $6.5m

Marc’s offering of his love remains the star’s most expensive and rarest ring in her collection.

As per specialists, the ring showcases an impressive 8.5-carat, deep-blue radiant-cut diamond, with trapezoid-shaped diamonds on either side, all set on a sturdy platinum band.

It is worth a whopping $6.5m, surpassing the value of her other rings.

Laura shared that the most precious piece of jewelry she owns is the blue diamond ring gifted by Anthony, which she mentioned in a 2021 interview as being more valuable to her than any other piece of jewelry, including the pink diamond Ben presented during their initial engagement.

In 1998, their paths initially intersected as he was acting in a Broadway play known as “The Capeman.”

Following the formation of a strong bond, they subsequently got married in a private event in 2004 – not long after her initial engagement to Ben had concluded.

2008 found me blessed with the arrival of my twin children, Max and Emme, who joined my life after a four-year gap. Regrettably, my partner and I parted ways in 2011, and our divorce was finalized in 2014.

Alex Rodriguez: $2m

2019 saw me, a die-hard Yankees fan, getting down on one knee and proposing to my beloved Jennifer, whom I’ve been cherishing for the past two years.

He presented the singer with a massive 15-carat emerald-cut diamond set on a platinum band which is valued around $2 million.

Earlier, during his appearance on The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon, Alex shared that he had meticulously arranged the major event approximately six months in advance.

For three consecutive days leading up to my proposal, I practiced extensively. I did this to ensure the sunset was absolutely beautiful during our engagement moment.

He stated, ‘One day, the sunset occurred at 6:27, the following day it was 6:29, and on the third day it was raining. Consequently, I more or less [made up my mind to] choose 6:29, and I announced, “This is the moment when I’ll make my move.” And things turned out favorably.’

Instead, despite declaring their intention to marry, the duo parted ways in 2021, acknowledging that they functioned more effectively as companions rather than a married couple.

Ben Affleck: $5.6M

In 2021, Jennifer and Ben rekindled their romance and became engaged once again in April 2022.

He proposed for the second time with the $5.6M ‘lucky’ green engagement ring which features a 8.5-carat green cushion-cut diamond.

Laura stated that the ring’s value is approximately $5.6 million due to the scarcity of naturally occurring green diamonds and the fact that it’s Jennifer Lopez’s lucky color.

In a couple of months, they exchanged vows in a Las Vegas chapel in July, and then held a grand ceremony at his Georgia estate on August 20th, 2022.

Jennifer filed for divorce from Ben on Tuesday.

Based on papers acquired by TMZ, it appears that the artist famously known as Jenny From the Block submitted legal paperwork in the L.A. County Superior Court without the assistance of a lawyer.

The separation date is noted down as 26th April 2024, however, it’s important to note that J. Lo actually filed for divorce on the day marking the second anniversary of their second wedding ceremony in Georgia. This ceremony took place two months after their initial nuptials in Las Vegas.

It’s believed that Jennifer intends to retain the ring even after their split, as Laura Taylor noted, “Jennifer Lopez has accumulated an impressive array of engagement rings throughout her life, with each one symbolizing a distinct phase in her journey.”

In the U.S., an engagement ring is usually viewed as a present, which means that Jennifer Lopez, legally speaking, has the right to retain the ring following a divorce, unless there’s a prenuptial agreement stating otherwise.

Since Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck didn’t sign a prenuptial agreement, it’s probable that the impressive 8.5-carat emerald-cut diamond engagement ring will join her jewelry collection if they were to get married.

In California, it’s usually the case that engagement rings aren’t considered shared assets during a divorce. Instead, the court tends to side with the recipient in such situations.

Based on my personal experience, I strongly believe that engagement rings are a symbol of love and commitment, and they should always belong to the recipient, irrespective of whether the relationship endures or not. I have seen too many instances where couples break up, yet the ring remains a cherished possession for the person who received it, serving as a reminder of the love that was once shared. It’s only fair that the gift, which holds immense emotional value, should be kept by the recipient. The tradition of giving an engagement ring before marriage is deeply rooted in history and culture, but its significance lies not just in the material object itself, but in the sentiment behind it.

“Laura pointed out that Jennifer Lopez’s collection of engagement rings, including Ben Affleck’s unique green one, is now valued at approximately $17 million.”

For some time now, there have been whispers that the couple might be parting ways, but Jennifer, who shares 16-year-old twins Max and Emme with her former partner, as well as Seraphina, 15, and Samuel, 12, has not commented on these rumors. Interestingly, she asserted not long ago that there was a genuine, enduring love between them.

She shared with the Metro newspaper that she penned “This Is Me” approximately two decades ago, following her falling in love with Ben.

By an unexpected twist of circumstances, we found ourselves re-entering one another’s worlds again. Coincidentally, on the 20th anniversary of “This Is Me… Then,” I revealed plans for “This Is Me… Now.” This decision was sparked by the extraordinary miracle that had transpired before me.

His return to my life and our unexpected reunion served as the catalyst, prompting me to step into the recording studio. The songs on the album seemed to flow effortlessly from within me.

‘It had an authentic and captivating feel, undoubtedly influenced by the precious opportunity for a genuine, heartfelt romance again.’
