Jennifer Lawrence’s “unforgettable” and “gripping” psychological drama confirms UK release date

The U.K. release date for the drama written and directed by Lynne Ramsay, starring Jennifer Lawrence, has been officially announced.

Under the title “Die, My Love“, an emotionally resonant film unfolds, showcasing Lawrence in the role of a woman grappling with postpartum depression upon settling in remote Montana alongside her partner following their move.

After debuting at Cannes earlier this year, the movie will be arriving in UK and Irish theaters on November 14th.

Starting on November 7th, fortunate moviegoers in the US will have the chance to enjoy Ramsay’s newest release.

In the years following their roles in popular movie series like “The Hunger Games” and “Twilight”, Jennifer Lawrence and Robert Pattinson find themselves collaborating once more, this time playing the characters Grace and Jackson. These characters leave bustling New York City behind to settle in Jackson’s childhood home in Montana.

Alongside LaKeith Stanfield, Sissy Spacek, and Nick Nolte, the ensemble is further graced by Martin Scorsese and Lawrence as producers.

The movie based on Ariana Harwicz’s novel carries the same title is currently receiving a 78% positive rating from critics on Rotten Tomatoes. It has been praised as an “indelible cinematic journey” in the review published on RogerEbert.com.

In their review published by the Toronto Star, Ramsay is commended for transforming the original content into a narrative that mirrors the spiral structure of Stanley Kubrick’s film, The Shining.

The review states that Lynne Ramsay masterfully adapts a book about maternal depression into a thrilling and tense film, one that is compelling enough to be shown in the multiplex at the Overlook Hotel.

Although many people didn’t fully agree with the film, there were some reservations about it. The New Yorker found Ramsay’s adaptation of the book to be more underwhelming than impressive, stating that it didn’t add as much depth as one might expect.

Generally speaking, the feedback is overwhelmingly favorable. Everyone seems to agree that Lawrence delivers an impressive performance, which has sparked comparisons to Gena Rowlands’ intense portrayal in the 1974 classic film “A Woman Under the Influence“.

Ramsay discussed how the movie skillfully blended somber and humorous elements throughout its 118-minute duration.

The filmmaker stated that the essence of the narrative revolves around the intricate nature of love, its ability to evolve and metamorphose as it progresses through time.

I strived to make it relatable, genuine, unscripted, and occasionally humorous, portraying instances that may seem trivial yet are filled with significant impact.

The movie “Die, My Love” will be available for viewing in the United Kingdom and Ireland starting on November 14th. In contrast, it’s already showing in US cinemas from November 7th.
