Jennifer Lawrence shared that dealing with severe anxiety after having her second child actually prepared her for the emotional challenges of playing her role in the movie, ‘Die My Love’.
The 35-year-old actress portrays Grace, a mother facing the challenges of parenthood, in a darkly comedic and dramatic film. She used her own experiences, especially after having her second son, Louie, to prepare for the role.
Jennifer, who shares a three-year-old son, Cy, with her husband Cooke Maroney, 41, recently told People magazine that she didn’t experience significant postpartum anxiety until after her second child. She believes having another baby made things more challenging.
As a lifestyle expert, I often get asked about what it takes to nurture anyone, not just children. And honestly, you don’t need to be a parent to understand how to care for someone. But knowing the basic needs and what motivates a little one – or anyone needing care, really – is incredibly valuable. It just gives you a helpful foundation for connection and support.

The Academy Award-winning actress shared that she performed a nude dance with Robert Pattinson, 39, in the film Die My Love. She explained that director Lynne Ramsay, 55, had challenged them to take interpretive dance lessons, which led to the scene.
Lawrence recently shared on The Graham Norton Show that director Lynne Ramsay pushed them during rehearsals, which came as a surprise when they were unexpectedly asked to perform a nude scene on the very first day of filming.
Robert and I were forced to take interpretative dance lessons as a pair. Neither of us are comfortable being the center of attention, and since we barely knew each other, it was incredibly awkward and embarrassing.
On the very first day of shooting, she surprisingly asked us to recall our previous actions and then questioned if we’d be willing to perform them in the nude!
When guests like Bruce Springsteen and Tessa Thompson asked Jennifer Lawrence about the scene, she jokingly responded, ‘Was I supposed to say no? You all seem surprised.’
She has shared that she felt insecure and worried before her son, Cy, was born, unsure about what being a mother would be like and if she could handle the challenges of raising a child.

Jennifer recently shared with Vogue that discussing motherhood feels daunting. She explained this is because every mother’s experience is unique.
Saying something was incredible from the beginning might make others feel left out if their experience didn’t start that way. Luckily, I have many close friends who have always been honest with me.
Honestly, everyone warned me – they said it’s not an instant thing, that it might be tough to get into at first. They said I shouldn’t expect to be completely hooked immediately. And you know what? I was ready for that! I braced myself to be patient, to give it a chance, because I was already so determined to love it… I really wanted to be understanding if it didn’t grab me instantly.
I recall being around nine months pregnant and talking with a close friend. People kept telling me I’d love my baby more than my cat, but I wasn’t so sure. I wondered if I’d love them equally.
