Jennifer Lawrence and her husband, Cooke Maroney, are expecting baby No. 2
As a long-time admirer of Jennifer Lawrence, witnessing her journey from a rising star to a respected actress and now a loving mother has been truly inspiring. The news of her second pregnancy only adds to my excitement for this incredible woman’s life.
As a movie aficionado penning down my thoughts, I’m thrilled to share that the illustrious Jennifer Lawrence is growing her own cast – she’s reportedly welcoming her second little star into the world!
A spokesperson for the former “Hunger Games” star announced her pregnancy to Vogue over the weekend. This was revealed by the publication on their Instagram, mentioning that they noticed a hint of her baby bump when she went out for dinner in Los Angeles on Saturday evening.
Representatives for Lawrence did not immediately respond Monday to The Times’ requests for comment.
34-year-old Lawrence and her husband Cooke Maroney, who’ve been married for five years, are proud parents to a 2-year-old son named Cy. The couple, with Maroney being an art gallerist, exchanged vows in October 2019 at Newport, R.I., and have chosen to maintain a low profile regarding their relationship in the public sphere.
After a hiatus from acting, which began following her nearly uninterrupted work since debuting in “Winter’s Bone” (2010) and winning an Oscar for “Silver Linings Playbook”, becoming a worldwide sensation as part of the “The Hunger Games” series, and appearing in various critically acclaimed films, she experienced a period of diminished popularity due to her peculiar actions. Recently, she has made a comeback with the 2022 film “Causeway” and released the raucous comedy “No Hard Feelings” the previous year.
This week, she will premiere the documentary “Zurawski v Texas” – a depiction of women who took legal action against Texas following its enactment of stringent anti-abortion laws, which she co-produced with former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton. Notably, during her pregnancy in 2021, Lawrence joined comedian Amy Schumer to advocate for abortion rights at Women’s March protests.
During a conversation with celebrity and cosmetics entrepreneur Kylie Jenner in November, Lawrence discussed her efforts to shield her family from public attention. She admitted that she hadn’t relied heavily on security until the birth of her first child in 2022.
Lawrence explained during an interview that when she first started having a security team due to her intrusive thoughts and anxiety, she desired constant security. Now, the “Don’t Look Up” actress shared that she had initially found it challenging but has grown accustomed to it.
Initially, when I decided to employ them, I secretly desired for them to be unnoticeable – I didn’t want my child to recognize or interact with them. However, once they began working for us, I realized that they were not just faceless workers, but individuals who were aiding us. Ignoring the person assisting us wasn’t a wise choice; instead, I should have acknowledged their presence. So, I started greeting Sean, which was unexpected and not part of my original plan.
